Amazing place, fantastic location. Can’t wait to return
We were greeted by the hosts who couldn’t have been more helpful. They were super friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable about the local area. House was beautiful, clean and modern and had lots of things to do. We enjoyed playing some of the supplied games in the evenings. Location was perfect, walking distance to a local shop and lovely pub with delicious food and very friendly staff and lots of accessible walks nearby too. Perfect size house to share with friends as well. We will definitely be returning one day!

Fabulous place to stay
We had a lovely holiday. The house is immaculate and a gorgeous place to stay. Sarah and Ashley are very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed trips to the beaches, The Needles, Blackgang Chine, The Donkey Sanctuary, The Garlic Farm, and Osborne House. We also recommend the Wight Mouse Inn for food. We would love to return for another holiday.

Well-appointed multigenerational holiday house
We were three generations including 2 very young children, aged 2&3, holidaying together. The house was spacious, light and very clean; the website description is very accurate. Every thing we needed was provided and in new or excellent condition. The garden was safe for the children. The village shop is within walking distance and has an impressive range and long opening hours. We found plenty to do nearby. Would definitely highly recommend!

Wonderful stay at Hawthorns!
We travelled as a family of 8, mix of seniors, adults and teenagers plus a dog, Sarah and Ashley met us on arrival and explained the workings of their beautiful home, a seem-less handover and a much appreciated welcome hamper on our arrival. The house is exactly as described and really is a relaxing social space for everyone. Thr beds are very comfortable and house amenities have everything you should need. The location of Brighstone is perfect for walks, with the beach just 15 mins walk away. There is a village shop, pub and tea which we enjoyed. Shanklin and Alum bay are just 15 mins away by car also. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will def be back! Thank you again Sarah and Ashley for your warm hospitality and taking care of things for us.

Home away from home
The socialable Hawthorns property was perfect for us, a family ranging from 16 to 80 years old plus dogs. The "olds" and teenager slept downstairs whilst the middle aged slept upstairs. It is really well equipped with everything you need in the kitchen, to the washing machine and tumble dryer - must for us as a large family. The location was perfect too, lovely dog walking routes straight from the door. We enjoyed our morning walks to the beach. The picturesque village has a pub and shop which sells almost everything you need. Thank you Sarah and Ashley for a wonderful stay, we hope to see you again!

Wonderful house with hot tub
Just returned from a week's stay at the Hawthorns. Visited with family in a party of 8 and our Cavapoo pooch. Sarah and Ashley kindly greeted us at the house and showed us around. There was a very nice welcome hamper with lovely locally sourced items. A lovely gesture! The property is just as described. Pristine, modern, spacious and uncluttered. Well equipped kitchen and a separate utility area in the bathroom. The large hot tub is a great feature and perfect for a soak and chat. Brightstone is a gorgeous village too and is perfectly located close to the coast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Stunning Property
We arrived on a very wet and windy day to a warm welcome from Sarah and Ashley. The house is stunning with everything done to a high standard. We were a four generation family and a dog and the house suited us all. The welcome pack was greatly appreciated and the hot tub was used everyday. The house was in a very quiet location and was near to a very well stocked village shop. Communication was excellent with Sarah and Ashley from booking to arrival and even a message wishing us a safe journey home on the day of our departure. Would highly recommend this property.

We have stayed here previously 2 years ago and the property is still in the same pristine condition. Sarah and Ashley are great hosts and information about the property is listed in the handbook which is really helpful. Property is spotlessly clean and everything is in working order. Good facilities in the kitchen and also washing machine available which is really handy. Best Isle of Wight property we have stayed in

Super property in great location
An outstanding property in a lovely area. The house is very modern and has every amenity you need for a great holiday. We liked the location of the property in the small village of Brighstone. This is away from the busy areas of the IoW. The village is very pretty with a pub serving good food, a tea shop and a comprehensive village shop and post office selling most things you could need. Newport was only about 15 mins away by car. Overall we were extremely pleased with the property.

Simply bliss
Wonderful break on the Isle of Wight, thanks to a home from home in Brighstone. The owners couldn’t have done any more to make us feel welcome and at ease, lovely people who have put everything into an immaculate property with everything we needed to enjoy the break. We have been to the island many times but this was our best trip. We were early to take break this year and we were ready for it, it helped whe locally there is a good shop and pub with music and cheap and cheerful food but you are never to far away from some amazing restaurants like the Hungy Bear in Brading which is outstanding and a place we hope to revisit. Overall, The Hawthorns had everything we needed to relax, was dog friendly, private, toasty warm and easy to find. We will certainly look to stay here again in future.

Fabulous accommodation that suited our needs perfectly (two families, one with 10wk old baby). Lovely welcome and house tour from Sarah and Ashley as well as a little hamper of treats. Pretty much everything covered in the kitchen. Lots of current information on things to do and places to visit and board games as well. The hot tub was wonderful on an evening, especially after long days exploring this beautiful island. The village shop is very well stocked and just a short walk from the house., as is the newsagent/cafe and tearooms. Ambled to the beach too (approx 20mins and quite straightforward). We all had a fabulous time and made some lovely memories. Thank you both 😊

What a great week away with the family and 2 dogs in a gorgeous house with fantastic weather. Sarah and Ashley made us feel extremely welcome, the house is spacious, beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you need (the electric fans were much appreciated thank you). Location was great, with the local pub and shop frequently visited (in that order…), a short walk to a lovely beach and most towns and villages reachable within 30mins by car. The hot tub was used most days to relax after the long walks during the day with the dogs chilling out in the lovely garden. Thank you again Sarah & Ashley and look forward to hopefully returning in the future.
