"The property owner had his maid write a hand note telling us to pay water and electricity and debated with us prior to leaving as I speak Wolof the native language of Senegal. NO WHERE ON THE LISTING does it state you have to pay for such basic things that you’d think comes with a villa… maybe he only tried to get me to do this who knows because I read reviews before booking. "Nous avons bien aimé notre séjour. Les lieux étaient propre, tout fonctionnait, la cuisine était bien équipée. Dudu, le gardien sur place, était discret, disponible et serviable. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la piscine qui était très bien entretenue et propre. Elle a aussi une zone peu profonde qui est parfait pour s’y asseoir ou pour les enfants plus petits. "My son and I really really enjoyed our stay at Somone. I will remember our daily walk/jog at the beach. The pool was the perfect size. The storm dust affected its cleanliness but we enjoyed it anyways. Great restaurants nearby and many family activities within driving range. The helps were accommodating. Guorgui spent the nights there which was fine. I would like the whole place to myself if I had travelled with my entire family. Great place, I definitely recommend it."

" Excellent property. Ideally located. Nice decor. I wish the staff were more friendly, especially the staff at the front desk. They can be rude to the clients. And it seems like no one even taught them to smile or say thank you for staying at our hotel. They make you feel like you owe them something or they are doing you a favor by staying there, instead of the opposite."

Relaxing family get away

"It was very relaxing place to be right above the beach with beach access. However the beach has a lot of debris from as that area is mostly used by fishermen. I stayed 8 nights with my 2 kids. Our room was spacious with a bounce bed and 2 twin beds. The beds we comfortable. The only complaint I would have is that when the weather is hot, it is hotter in the room because it is up stairs and there is no AC. Only half of our stay was hot enough to complain about. The staff was very friendly and kind. The owner was so gracious and will arrange anything you want from transportation to food delivery from outside. If you want a place to relax and do nothing but listen to the ocean waves while you sip a cold drink and your kids play in the pool, this is the place! I would definitely come back over and over again! "
