Nimes charming apartment

This apartment is well-located in the Historic Centre of Nimes, and the host is very knowledgeable of the area and very friendly. Martin was extremely helpful with our efforts during our month-long stay as we were making long-term plans to stay in Nimes. The apartment has been updated and is well furnished including the kitchen. It's close to public transportation stops for when you want to venture further afield. We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at this VRBO and are happy to have met Martin.

1 Week Stay in Nimes

As background, I travelled to Nimes alone for the purpose of seeing the various Roman artifacts, ruins, and intact structures. I have interest in the Roman Empire and Nimes did not disappoint. I really enjoyed staying at this property. I would say it is just right for 1 person or a couple who would be spending most of their time outside. I did not need the bed in the small living area so I can't attest to that, one way or the other. The kitchen and bathroom appear to be quite new. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and it was quite easy to prepare a meal, which I did for breakfast and a dinner or two. The bathroom is also new, large, comfortable and the water was hot. The bedroom was large and mattress was firm. The air conditioner was in the bedroom and it did the job. Note that when I was there temperatures outside where around 75F during the day. I never watched the television so I can't comment on that. For me, the best intrinsic characteristic of this property is it's location. It is situated a short way down a small alley, which is off a one-way street, mostly pedestrian. When you exit the alley you will literally run into 2 small, pleasant restaurants, Turning left you will send you to a main street with restaurants to your left and right (L'Accent Bistrot on the right corner is outstanding). Turning right will send you on a wonderful winding walk through the Old Town with many stunning sites to see.

Une fenĂȘtre donne sur la ruelle Ă©troite et l’autre sur une terrasse servant de dĂ©barras. TrĂšs propre, et arrivĂ©e et dĂ©part sans aucun souci.SĂ©jour en janvier sans souci, chauffage et eau chaude fonctionnent trĂšs bien.Le lit de 160cm a un confort limitĂ©, le moindre mouvement d‘une personne est directement ressenti par l‘autre, le matelas a peu de moelleux.Le canapĂ© n‘est pas trĂšs confortable, ni assis ni allongĂ©.La connexion internet permet une simple navigation, mais de travailler sereinement. Les 2 portes intĂ©rieures ont des charniĂšres sont bruyantes, les clenches sont trĂšs bruyantes. Le ventilateur de la salle de bain est trĂšs bruyant et n’a que trĂšs peu de dĂ©bit.Une deuxiĂšme petite table serait la bienvenue, dans la chambre par exemple, ainsi que des patĂšres dans la salle de bain.Le nombre de serviettes fournies est un peu limite (1 par pers.).La descente d‘eau de lâ€˜Ă©tage supĂ©rieur est bruyante.Tous ces points ont Ă©tĂ© signalĂ©s au propriĂ©taire qui a immĂ©diatement rĂ©agi en augmentant le dĂ©bit du routeur.La situation dans NĂźmes est parfaite.

Very comfortable flat in a great location

We had a fantastic 5 five day stay in Nimes and this was a great base. 15 minutes walk from the rail station and everything we wanted to see within an easy walk. The flat is comfortable and well equipped. Very close to some great places to eat, but also has what you need to make meal. Spacious enough for two. Our host, Martin, provided a great welcome and was available for any queries. Would certainly recommend.

Excellente localisation, au calme, mĂȘme si la ruelle peut faire un peu gloque, elle a l'avantage d'ĂȘtre au calme en plein centre. Le gros point fort de l'appartement est sa localisation, qui permet de profiter pleinement du centre ville Ă  pied. Un hebergeur au top pour les renseignements et la rĂ©activitĂ© pour repondre aux demandes.

TrĂšs chouette appartement dans un trĂšs chouette quartier !

Nous avons passé un séjour trÚs agréable dans ce joli appartement bien agencé, trÚs calme et trÚs propre. La literie est de bonne qualité, la chambre et la salle de bain de bonne taille. Son emplacement est particuliÚrement appréciable, à deux pas des Halles et de nombreux restaurants. On peut également facilement rejoindre la gare à pied, en passant - excusez du peu - par la Maison Carrée et les ArÚnes. Si l'occasion se présente, nous y reviendrons sans hésiter !

Appartement conforme aux photos en ce qui concerne l'intĂ©rieur ainsi que l'emplacement dans la ville qui est parfait pour tout visiter Ă  pied. Quelques points "nĂ©gatifs", l'Ă©tĂ© il est impossible d'ouvrir complĂštement la fenĂȘtre de la chambre car celle-ci donne directement (les gens peuvent entrer par la fenĂȘtre s'ils le souhaitent) sur une "terrasse" des voisins derriĂšre, et si vous tombez un soir oĂč ils font une soirĂ©e, bon courage pour dormir. Quant Ă  la fenĂȘtre du salon dommage qu'il ne soit pas prĂ©cisĂ© que le logement se situe dans une petite ruelle de 2m de large, vous avez donc une vue sur un mur ce qui rend l'appartement sombre. En cette pĂ©riode de COVID c'est dommage qu'il n'y ait pas Ă  disposition des produits dĂ©sinfectants et tout le nĂ©cessaire pour faire correctement le mĂ©nage.

Deux piĂšces trĂšs confortable dans le centre historique

L appartement a Ă©tĂ© rĂ©novĂ© Ă  neuf, il y a tout le confort pour un couple et la cuisine est trĂšs bien Ă©quipĂ©e. Il est trĂšs bien situĂ© Ă  deux pas de la Maison CarrĂ©e et donc Ă  15 minutes Ă  pied de la gare sncf / routiĂšre. Il est assez sombre car la cuisine donne sur une ruelle trĂšs Ă©troite . La fenĂȘtre de la chambre donne sur la terrasse d’un autre appartement. On peut donc faire courant d’air. Mais si les voisins sont sur cette terrasse tard il faut fermer la fenĂȘtre ( double vitrage performant ) si on a le sommeil lĂ©ger. Nous reviendrons.

Un accueil trÚs agréable Un logement trÚs propre, trÚs fonctionnel, tout à fait comme annoncé et selon les photos. Situation prÚs de tout: possibilité de tout visiter à pied. Seul bémol: quand on dit que le stationnement est facile et gratuit... j'ai eu certaines difficultés à trouver des stationnements et certains soirs, j'ai dû débourser plus que je ne m'attendais... Pour le reste, PARFAIT! Merci beaucoup, Martin.

Et pas de grasse matinĂ©e Ă  prĂ©voir : le nettoyage des rues Ă  8h du matin...

Good apartment and well equipped. Great location in the historic centre with some great little restaurants , cafes and shops very nearby, the historic monuments and parks all very accessible. And a really good indoor market for excellent regional produce across the whole range of foods/produce. Stairs are a bit difficult as we have limited mobility, but the concierge, Martin , was very helpful. Would recommend it to both family and friends. David and Geraldine

TrÚs bien situé en plein centre-ville quasiment au pied de La Maison Carrée idéal pour un couple. Appartement refait à neuf dans une ruelle sans vis-à-vis mais sans vue. Places de parking un peu difficiles à trouver mais gratuites à environ 5 à 10 minutes à pied hors de la vieille ville. Commerces et restaurants au pied de l'appartement
