THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
the camp sits peacefully at the end of an intentionally undeveloped short plat
The 5 acre parcel is shared with other sites nicely spaced from one another
Immerse yourself in the wildlife, deer, owls and quiet
Landscape is Raw, ungroomed and natural
PLEASE READ AS THE LISTING IS PRIVATE BUT THE PROPERTY IS SHARED WITH OTHER RENTALS
Tent access is drive up & the road is well maintained until the last turn where it does narrow, follow signs marked “9 Mile Farm”. Expect some pot holes, rogue weeds and sticks, however you should not need 4 wheel drive to access. Drive up and park right by tent, walk a few feet to the patio & inside. Land is raw, ungroomed, wild and natural
Try to arrive with some daylight as to familiarize yourself with the property layout. Flashlights or headlamps strongly encouraged.
The entire 5 acre property, the soaking tubs trails, paths, road and portable toilet (serviced regularly by Goodman sanitation) is SHARED with other sites. Please clean up after yourself and leave the space as you found it.
The entire property is use at you and any of your guests own risk, one of our only requests as landlord is we do ask that you sign a waiver/release acknowledging you have read and understand the ENTIRE description/listing, as well as the risks and agree to hold harmless
We are happy to greet you upon arrival and give you a small tour to familiarize yourself with the property. If this is something you would like please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate. We emphasize that the property is yours to share in its entirety for both you(tent) and other renters/caretakers alike (and in the interest of full disclosure an occasional owl, deer, forest mouse, mosquito, bee, spider, snail, bat or slug will undoubtedly make an appearance).
MANAGING EXPECTATIONS:
Our tent experience is not for everyone if you are uneasy without your wifi, lights, running water or really any modern-day conveniences (there is okay cell phone reception) or on the contrary if bugs make you fidget or the quiet makes you nervous & you can't roll with occasionally unforecast rain, wind, fog or even foghorns! then this may not be your cup of tea (and that's ok). Be honest with yourself, does this listing sound intriguing or terrifying? please rethink before booking.
Please understand that the camp is a work in progress, undergoing constant improvements & various projects may be underway during your visit. We try to keep it tidy but realistically that just isn't always possible.
What we truly hope, what our vision from the beginning has been is that all our guests enjoy a unique, peaceful, handcrafted experience that brings each individual that much closer to our planet, respecting her maybe just a little bit more. Nine Mile Adventures hopes to provide you with a moment or more of tranquility and a fulfilling escape from society. Feel free to hug the trees.
