COVID19 Beach Bungalow Update: Beach Bungalow cleaning and disinfecting takes place from 10am to 4pm, matching checkin and checkout times. Our cleaning team wears PPE and we have standardized on the Cavicide cleaning products (used by hospitals). Arrival check in is contactless via emailed door code.

This unique bungalow is your home away from home situated on an UNCROWDED stretch of beautiful beach on the Chesapeake Bay! Our beach faces north giving us beautiful sunrises to the east view from the private deck and amazing sunsets to the west from the beach view.

Open floor plan from kitchen to living room and patio doors to the beach. Large private deck overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, BBQ grill, outdoor hot tub, and two sit-on-top kayaks on the property make this the perfect beach hot spot!!!

Study/Work Note: There is a rolltop desk and chair near patio door which can accommodate the need to work or do schoolwork while on vacation.

Comfortably sleeps up to six people in any combination of adults and children with one queen size bedroom, one full size bedroom, and one bedroom with a trundle bed that expands to two twin beds. The peach bedroom is off the kitchen and connects to yellow bedroom and second bathroom.

ADA Note: While the living area is all one level, there are 6 stairs up to the front porch. In addition, no doorways are 36" wide and cannot accommodate a wheel chair. No ADA handrails are located at the property.

House Rules: Must be 25+ to rent, no parties/events, no pets, no smoking.

BabyGear: the bungalow does not have baby specific gear. Consider lightening your load by renting what you need locally!

Great place for family stay

Great little place, clean, great location, close to the beach. We stayed at the end of June, beach wasnt busy and was clean. We would definitely stay again. Great company of Piglet the cat :)

The house was comfortable and clean and the owners were kind and accommodating. It was so nice being right on the beach and we had great views from the top deck. Location was close to the airport and local attractions. We were about 1/2 hour drive from Virginia Beach. Great place to relax on your own private beach.

Beautiful Beach Bungalow

We had a wonderful time at this beach bungalow. The home was lovely with extra amenities provided. The area surrounding was equally lovely. The trek to the beach was hot hot hot but perfect!! The crows nest was probably one of our favorite parts of the bungalow. We saw dolphins every morning!! If we decide to come back to Norfolk we would definitely consider staying here again!!

Great Location for Family Spring Vacation

The house is a perfect location for a family vacation. The beach is right there and the grocery store is just down the street. For rainy or cool days, the house is 30 minutes or less from museums.

Relaxing getaway!!

We had a wonderful stay at the beach Bungalow this week! The house was so nice, clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. Our favorite part was having the private beach access , which was especially nice and convenient with our little ones. Tom and Cate were great, and were quick to respond to any questions that we had. Private Norfolk Beach

We had a really nice stay. The place is somewhat dated in a not-so-great part of town. But it was awesome to have basically a private beach to ourselves on the calm water of the Chesapeake Bay.

Beach Bungalow Zen

We enjoyed our time at the Beach Bungalow very much. The house is very clean and has everything you need for a great, relaxing beach getaway. The view from the upper deck is phenomenal and the short walk down the stairs to the beach was perfect. The biggest plus is the lack of crowds on the beach. It was perfect. We will definitely consider staying here again.

Great little bungalow!

We had a great time at the bungalow. Perfect place for a family vacation. We felt so comfortable in the house. The beach was nice and clean. The water was calm being on the bay! There are so many nice day trips near by like Colonial Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. House was clean, the hot tub is older and missing some parts but still worked and was comfortable on the colder nights!

Enjoyable week together

This is our second vacation together at the Beach Bungalow. Most everyone spent the day at the beach, mostly because it was such a short walk back to the house for snacks, lunch, etc.. After dinner, there's the fire pit and then end the day in the hot tub! You can't beat it for peace and quiet...though a day trip to Virginia Beach and the aquarium is an extra!

Private Beach-Peaceful

Property is well taken care of. After a long day we enjoyed the iJoy chair for a massage, then the hot tub to top that off. Tom and Cate were very nice. View from the Crow's Nest is the perfect spot for waking with morning coffee.
