Water views to die for! Come and relax your feet in sand in the back yard! This 100 year old home is going to give to the most quaint coastal experience in the eastern shores! Cozy up in front of the fire place - inside or out. Or just read your favorite book while in the sunroom listening to the ocean.


You will find everything you need in our well stocked kitchen...even your favorite espresso machine!

This home is cared for and cleaned by our family- it will be the most-taken-cared-of short term rental you will stay at!

Towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, - are all provided. Just pack your clothes and get ready for the most relaxing winter vacation!

Perfect Family Vacation at the Beach!
We had such a wonderful stay at Katrina’s place. It was a beautiful, spacious house steps away from the beach. We enjoyed the firepit at night! We would love to return next summer.

Adorable House with Lovely Views
We were there visiting family and not for a vacation. The house is nicely updated and offers adequate space. We had five adults and a toddler, and it wasn't cramped. The view from two of the bedrooms is incredible. However, the outside of the home needs some attention, including the landscaping and maintenance of the deck. It looks like it could be an abandoned property. I am not high maintenance; however, it would be nice to make sure hand soap containers are filled and washcloths are available. In full transparency, I only reached out for washcloths, and they were brought the next day. I took care of the other needed items myself, but I shouldn't be me telling hosts what things need replenishing between guests. Overall, a lovely home that just needs more attention from the host.

Beach Cottage get away success!
The house was beautiful and the location was everything we could have hoped for. It was very inclusive for the entire family. The host put great detail in ensuring the house is kids friendly with kids beds close to the floor, pack n play, a nugget couch for endless kids fun, lots of games for all ages and so much more. I can go on and on about how great this experience was. 10/10 recommending to everyone we know that may be looking for a quite all inclusive beach get away. The hosts were very responsive and left us a great welcoming gift. We could not be happier with our experience. By far the best host and home we have stayed at. Looking forward to future stays!

Wonderful gem of a home!
Kat is an incredible host—so kind, so responsive and so generous. We needed to check in a bit early and check out a bit late and she went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable. The place is beautiful; spotless and is truly *right on the beach*. Because it was winter, the beach was almost entirely ours; our dog was sooo happy to roam and enjoy, and also loved the space, especially the screened in porch. If you’re looking for a tucked away place, especially in the winter, this is your place!!

Charming house right on the beach!
This charming house is right on the beach. You can see and hear the ocean from the bedrooms. The back enclosed porch is lovely to sit, read, and watch the beach. We saw the usual beach birds and a bald eagle. The kitchen is well-stocked; the dining room easily seats six. The smart TV had everything we wanted to watch. The owner is very responsive and helpful. We look forward to returning in the summer!

Charming House & Great Location
The house was charming and comfortable. The sandy backyard and private path to the beach was terrific - our young Cavapoo LOVED it too!! We spent a good amount of time in the delightfully warm glass-door sunroom which also has a nice view of the ocean. The location was great - close to various types of restaurants and thrift stores. The owners were very responsive to house questions and addressing any immediate needs in a timely and pleasant manner. Thank you Katrina and Adrien for being great hosts!

Great Christmas Escape!
We really enjoyed our stay! We walked out to the beach every day despite the cold, and the dogs loved the freedom. The location is close to everything without being in the thick of traffic. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the construction happening next door. The workers were loud and we could hear everything they were doing and saying. The landscaping could also use some tending to, but with it being winter we didn’t utilize the backyard much. We hope to stay again!

Wonderful stay despite the rain!
We had a wonderful time! We loved hanging out in the sun room, looking over the sandy backyard and beach, and we loved the direct access to the beach. We saw so many dolphins. We had never seen so many at once! It was amazing. Thank you!!

Fall beach getaway
Our second visit to the cottage and we loved it this time as much as the first. Our children , furry and human, love the beach walks, fire pits and just hanging around. A perfect weekend.

The inside of the home is beautiful, but
The inside of the home is nicely updated. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with nice views of the beach from the bedrooms. We were quite disappointed with the outside of the home. The landscaping (weeds), in the front overtake the sidewalks and made the property feel a bit unsafe and unwelcoming. The backyard is also in need of much attention. Metal furniture is rusted and plastic furniture is cracked. The beach umbrella and beach chairs were rusted and/or broken making our time on the beach less than perfect. In full disclosure, I didn’t bring these things to the owners attention while we were there for two reasons. First, it is a beach house and the outdoor space should be priority for the host. Secondly,I don’t like to have to complain to get results I’m sure she would’ve been attentive, as she lives nearby. Overall, a lovely home. It just needs more attention from the host.

In Town for Concert
We visited over the weekend because we were in town for a concert but wanted a mini vacation. The home feels like a home! Clean, organized, all the amenities that are needed and then some. Beautiful views of the bay where you can watch ships, the calm waves, and even some dolphins putting on a show. Everything you need is within a short driving distance (stores, gas, coffee, etc.) We made use of the kayaks; my son and I went on a father-son excursion for a bit and I taught my twins how to kayak. It was all I had to do to get the buy-in I needed to get some for the lakes around our home. Thanks to Katrina for reaching out and making sure we were comfortable and taken care of.

Great week!
We really enjoyed our stay! It was our first time taking our dog to the beach, and it was so nice that the beach was nearly empty every day - it really was like having our own private beach. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us and the dog, it was very clean and comfortable, and the owners were very responsive when we had some issues getting the key on the first day. There was a nearby playground within walking distance for the kids. We would definitely stay here again!

I will never book anywhere but VBRO from now on. It was a night and day difference from other booking sites. Even the conversations with the host were absolutely wonderful. Beautiful home, reasonably priced, and right on the beach. It was so nice to just come to the house, walk out to the beach and just let go and shut off the brain for a bit. I’ve done so much paperwork and planning in the couple weeks. I found this place, booked, and paid in under ten minutes. I didn’t have to reach out for any information through the entire process, the host kept on top of everything. The home was inviting and clean - even for my high standards. The views were worth every penny and more. The fresh flowers and plants really were the perfect touch. Just a wonderful restful, peaceful trip experience, even if the reason for the trip was not so nice.

Super relaxing
We had a lovely time despite some grey skies during our trip. We felt like we were on a private beach because the clouds had scared everyone away! The beach wasn't crowded during any of our time there and the walk between the house and beach was short enough we didn't have to take too much with us because we could just go back and get what we wanted. The house had everything we needed. The beds were super comfy and I hope to go back next summer!

Great House for Getaway
Kat was a GREAT host! We met 2 other couples to enjoy a small reunion, the house accommodated everyone's needs! It was very comfortable, very clean and well stocked. The 30 second walk to the beach was enjoyable. Would stay at this house again. Thanks Kat for a great vacation to Virginia Beach!
