Bank House is a 15th-century timber-framed building with wattle and daub walls, it has been fully restored using traditional methods and reclaimed materials wherever possible.
It lies just a short stroll from the pretty market place in the fine and ancient town of Hingham - with it's Grade II listed, Georgian architecture.
Inside - The living room kitchen and dining room are open plan, with original cast iron radiators, traditional Norfolk pamment and English oak floors throughout.
A cosy wood-burning stove is the focal point of the living room with initial logs provided. Sofa and two small armchairs smart TV, board games and books.
Beamed farmhouse-style kitchen/dining room with inglenook fireplace, butlers sink, oven and grill with ceramic hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, fully equipped with pots, pans and crockery. Washing machine with washing liquid provided.

PLEASE NOTE -There are several low beams throughout the cottage so please remember to duck if you don't want bumps in the night. The floorboards are stepped, and sloping in places - the delights of a medieval cottage but may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.

Opening out onto the courtyard and garden it could also sleep an adventurous teenager. Please contact us if you would like to use it for accommodation as there will be a small surcharge.
The garden is a secluded, peaceful oasis that is yours to enjoy, there is a courtyard just outside the door with a table and seating, perfect for alfresco dining. A further small table and chairs sit on the lawn under the beautiful willow tree. It is well stocked with quintessential English country garden plants like wisteria, honeysuckle and jasmine.

Centrally placed to explore Norfolk with its wonderful coastline and the famous Norfolk Broads. Wroxham, the capital of the Norfolk Broads is 29 miles away with daily boat hire and river trips, waterside cafes, restaurants and shops. The North Norfolk coast is approximately 35 miles, with Cromer, Wells, Brancaster, Blakeney and Great Yarmouth within easy reach. Thetford Forest, 15 miles, has designated picnic areas, walking trails, Go-Ape zip line and treetop walkway challenges. Designated off-road cycling tracks for experienced and novice cyclists. Good cycling and walking directly from the door. Golf courses nearby. Norwich city, 13 miles, for excellent shopping - two shopping malls, cathedral, theatres, castle museum, restaurants, pubs and cafes. Freshwater fishing (with licence) 1 mile. Snetterton racetrack, 10 miles.
We allow up to two well behaved dogs but please don't let them upstairs or on the furniture. The garden is private and secluded, but estate railings divide the garden from next door and any small or inquisitive pooches could escape, so please supervise at all times.

There is free unlimited Wi-Fi, which is generally good, but the mobile signal inside the cottage can be intermittent. The signal can be picked up outside, but for this reason, we provide a landline with an honesty box for calls.
Hingham is a thriving small town, surrounded by fields and countryside, but with excellent access to all Norfolk has to offer.
Our local gastropub The White Hart is just across the road and serves excellent food and local ales, there are also two cafes and a takeaway.The local bakery provides fresh bread and delicious home made cakes and there is a greengrocer, butcher, chemist and local store, in fact, everything you could possibly need!
There are numerous supermarkets and further shopping and restaurants in Wymondham and Attleborough - a short drive away.
