A nice old English pub with lots of small rooms, uneven floors and masses of charm. Plenty of room outside to eat or drink and lots of mooring space. On the hotel side the rooms are clean. My bedroom was nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom felt a little older, with the mirror over the washbasin at chest level - so shaving took some limboing. But it didn’t spoil my stay - especially as they’re slowly upgrading the rooms. This is no chain hotel - so it’s all ok - besides that wasn’t what I was looking for. The full English breakfasts were great. I would stay again.

I liked the price an check in was easy, the room was comfortable and adequate but in need of refurbishment, Breakfast was fine, Evening meal was quite poor, we ate at 6-30 on the Saturday evening three items on the menu were unavailable, my meal was fine, my wife's was terrible, they had the decency to deduct her meal from the bill which was good but going to bed hungry wasn't great, they had also run out of a couple of beers, the location is excellent but dont think we will be visiting again, I also wasnt keen of dogs in the dining room

Lovely traditional inn , a few little luxuries in room, quirky with bags of character, tasty food available and good range of draft drinks at the bar. Helpful staff, fantastic value for money with fullbreakfast included.

It was simple and straightforward. the staff was friendly and chatty and connective. the breakfast was generous and we felt cared for. the wifi was fine! One mattress was a bit saggy but it didn't tae away from the stay.

The young staff were lovely but the hotel is very tired and shabby. Food/breakfast was good. The bed was very comfortable, but the bathroom needed the window open to let the steam out as there is no extractor fan. No where to dry the towels, they were still damp the next day! Room was not serviced during the three nights we stayed, we will not be staying again.

Great value accommodation
Excellent value accommodation. No frills but service, food and cleanliness were all faultless. The room was very comfortable and the hotel in a lovely spot right on Sutton staithe. Could be further improved by demolishing the ugly redundant function facility attached to the rear of the property but I realise this is no small, or cheap undertaking. Overall a brilliant 2 night break though. Would definitely recommend.

Sutton Staithe hotel is a pretty little property close to the broad it has a pretty courtyard to the front. The interior of the hotel is quite oldy worldy,which we liked. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, nice comfy bed but furniture was a bit tired, otherwise it was great and breakfast was very good.

Comfortable stay
We had a comfortable stay. Room was nice, especially the soft furnishings. A few minor niggles. Some of the public areas were a bit shabby (it’s an old building) and there was apparently a problem with the drains at the bar toilets. Service was good - very friendly and attentive. Food was decent and good value (especially curry night). Breakfast a bonus with a choice on offer. Vegan and vegetarian no problem at all. We had been before years ago and would stay again.
