"Great location near all the main sites in Ortigia! Loved how close it is to everything via walking. Hard to find and difficult to get parking nearby, but once there, amazing stay and highly recommend."

"We stayed at 6 different hotels on our trip to Sicily and this was our favorite. The setting is beautiful, the property very well kept. The staff was gracious and kind. The breakfast was wonderful- so many handmade pastries and cookies, delicious and so inviting. We did not know they offered dinner or we would have tried that too. Room was very quiet and clean. "

"This was a last minute booking for one night at half 3 in the afternoon. What a fantastic find! There wasn't much around at the end of October and based on reviews and us having a car, we went for this. We wish we had had more time but needed a car to be returned to Syracuse by 11 next day :( I cannot say enough positive things about the place, the staff, the welcome, the price including breakfast and aside to the room, the gorgeous garden space and furniture. It was a calm relaxing area. We didn't use the pool being so late in but had a fabulous meal in the hotel with great service and good quality. The breakfast was as good. This hotel deserves to continue doing well as the staff are the best resource. Grazie per tutti x"

"We had - 14 of us, 11 adults three children - a really good week at Borgo Alto. The location is stunning and the space is great. As a former hotel, the accommodation is a bit odd for a big family group - with separate rooms in different buildings, but it worked well. The only thing it lacks is a comfortable lounge area. There is a dining room, but mainly you have to sit in hard chairs. But - even in the last week of October - we were able to spend most of our time outside. The setting of which is like a millionaire’s. The pool was well used, despite not being heated, and the view from it spectacular. It has to be said, though, that although everything was clean, there was a good deal which was faded. Towels s bit thin, bedding ditto. But the location and the weather overrode all of that, easily. "
