"This property looks great from outside but it needs a full renovation badly. It felt like walking into a hotel in the early 90s. Carpets in the rooms are worn out and faded. Staff don’t show a lot of enthusiasm for what they do. Housekeeping was the worst. Upon arrival I noticed duvets were not very clean. A lot of hair on and in the duvet. I had to ask for them to be replaced. The shampoo and body wash container in the bathroom was empty throughout my stay. I travel with my own so didn’t need...

Gorizia is a beautiful, small, Italian college town. "Firstly it is not clear that a "standard"room has the bathroom outside but it is Expedia's fault. However, 24hr reception is not correct, had to wait 15 minutes on the phone and no one answered so had to call another property of the group to gain access. The external bathroom was very cold, the room adjacent to common area with very noisy vending machines so I did not sleep a wink. In the room no light switch near the bed, the bedside lamps present but there was no socket to use them with....
