"This was our second stay at the hotel. As expected, it was very comfortable. The staff are friendly. We didn't face any issue. Location is great. Close to public transport. Iso Christina Mall is at walkable distance. Very close to Lake Saima."

"Room was unclean on arrival. Door required a special manoeuvre to unlock which was a real fire risk as the room windows don’t open. We reported both to reception, but were greeted by a shrug of the soldiers and some story about renewing the cleaning contract at the end of the season. Breakfast was cold meat and cheese with watered down orange juice and just the one toaster. Some staff were helpful but others weren’t. Whilst offering fishing, the staff didn’t know how to obtain the 2 Euro per day...

"A historic building on the outside, modernized on the inside, the guest house lies on the Salpa Line which was built to defend Finland during WWII. The Karelian flag flies proudly in the garden. The hosts arrange tours of the line and enthusiastically suggest walks and activities around Lappeenranta. The walk from the house to the lake Myllylampi was beautiful and alive with birds. Rooms are equipped with kitchen and dining areas."

"This is a lovely home in a stunning location, with sweeping views of a very nice lake. The villa is very well designed and was very clean. The sauna is large and very nicel--since it is connected to the bathroom, its residual heat makes the room nice and warm. The supplies are all first rate--lots of Ikea, although not overy generous. The pictures are very accurate. We had trouble communicating with the hosts before our arrival, but i believe that was a glitch in the VRBO website, not their...

"If you want a peaceful getaway this is the place for you. We stayed in the stand alone cottage, and it was perfect for us. We had beautiful views of the lake and the place was clean and comfortable. The water is very clear and excellent for swimming. The manager Jemma is so thoughtful and helpful. She even sent us information on things to do and restaurants to eat at. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you"
