Superbly situated on secluded Oak Beach is this contemporary beachfront home for family, friends or a couple who want the best right on the beach! Tenterfield on Oak Beach offers a stunning location overlooking the Coral Sea and its backdrop of beautiful mountains. This property has everything you could hope for in a tropical getaway.

Supremely tranquil, the large bright living and dining area with stylish, upmarket furniture provides ample space for guests to relax comfortably. Entertaining is a breeze from the very well equipped and spacious kitchen with a large pantry, huge marble bench, gas cooktop, big fridge freezer and all the cookware, crockery and glassware you need.

A second lounge area with large screen television and its own split system aircon.

The whole house is air-conditioned. Starlink WIFI is provided for your convenience.

The outdoor area offers an abundance of lounging areas. The padded day bed by the outdoor kitchenette with BBQ overlooks the generously sized 14m heated saltwater pool. It is the perfect spot to curl up with a book under the pergola during the warmer summer days. Or enjoy the breeze while lying in the hammocks gazing over the water's edge. For a change of scenery, the western side private courtyard is the perfect spot to enjoy a cold glass of wine and watch the sunset between the trees and mountains beyond.

With 4 bedrooms and each with private ensuites, this house is simply perfect for guests who seek their own privacy and share this amazing location with their family and friends. The master King bedroom on the first floor has a private balcony and enjoys the pool and beachfront views with a large walk-in robe. The second bedroom offers a choice between two single beds or a king bed whilst the third and fourth bedrooms offer a queen bed.

Unique to this property, Tenterfield on Oak Beach was the location of the old "Peter Allens Cottage". Famous Australian Entertainer & Songwriter who wrote many of his songs right here on this very spot. You might recall a song called "I still call Australia Home" or "I go to Rio".

More than we expected
Sometimes a property does not live up to the website. Inthis case, we had a whole extra floor with huge bedroom bathroom, and veranda that we’re not shown on the website. This is apparently a recent addition. The upstairs bedroom was not quite of the standard of those downstairs, which were beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The whole house was spotlessly clean when we arrived, as was the pool and the outside area. The front garden/beach is dotted with seating areas, including a table and chairs right on the edge of the beach, perfect for an evening class of wine. Our only small complaint would be that the agents who manage the property do not seem to check regularly enough for small repairs that need doing. For example, there were a number of lights that were not working, there was no plug for the bath and the bins had not been emptied for some time. The main problem, however, arose when we tried to barbecue one night and discovered that the lights over the barbecue were not working at all, and the area was in complete darkness. There was an electricians tape attached. to some disconnected wires, which stated that they were not to be connected under any circumstances. When we phoned the agent the next day she said that she had assumed that the work has been completed as she had received an invoice from the Electrician but obviously no one had bothered to check. Apart from this small inconvenience, we enjoyed our stay immensely and will definately return.

Perfect location, beautiful property
This was a perfect location for us to enjoy all the benefits of Port Douglas with none of the downsides, and only 10 minutes away from the golf course. This peaceful, secluded beachfront property is beautifully presented and has everything you could wish for. We hope to be back again sometime soon!
