Well for one thing the resort was closed and has been for sometime. The property manager was nice enough to clean a small room so we had somewhere to stay. You should remove this resort from your listening. Because (as mentioned earlier)they are closef.
There are 2 main issues I had with my stay at the Pine Rose Inn. The first is the check-in experience. I read through all emails beforehand to be sure we wouldn't have a problem with our 9pm arrival time. The confirmation email said they were open to receive us until 10pm so we didn't take any action before showing up. When we got there the grounds were very dark and we needed our phone's flashlight to safely traverse the overgrown path and scope out which of the dark, seemingly unmarked buildings were the 'office'. The office turned out to be a home, which isn't an issue, but again, it was very dark and not clearly marked, with no instructions posted. We rang the bell. After 2/3 rings and a few somewhat panicky minutes, a light turned on inside the house. 30 seconds later, a man appeared and made his way through the kitchen over to the door, after which he peered out at us for a moment, still in the dark, and then finally opened the door. We explained that we had a reservation and it was clear he was not expecting us. We completed the payment transaction and then he led us to the room, which was across the overgrown, Did I Say Very Dark??, courtyard, and showed us inside. When I mentioned the tub was not jetted as advertised on Hotels.com, I simply got a 'all the rooms are different' response. Top all this with no bottled water (obvs not a dealbreaker but another false promise) and a room odor my BF was uncomfortable with, and we did not feel welcome or excited to be there.
We rented the family cabin. Very vintage feel, which wasn't bad, but the sink clogs up, the fridge is unplugged until they have guests so nothing got cold until the next day. There was still pet hairs everywhere from previous guests. There's no phone signal and the wifi doesn't reach the cabin so we had to go around the office to connect.
We got there late after eight hours of driving to find out that there was no room available for us despite a reservation (the person in charge of the bookings was "new" and had only worked there for four years). After outdrawn confusion, strange interactions, and odd circumstances where it seemed like we would get a room we were told that it wouldn't be possible and had to leave to find another place for the night. On the plus side, we did get two sodas as an excuse.
Great outdoors loved the cabin also the the firepit and scenry

needs to clean
the owner is amazing but the place really need to be cleaned up and updated its really sad when someone gets old and doesnt want to upgrade her business. really nice people mother and son business; The back parking has an old boat that doesnt work; old shed falling apart and alot of tables and chairs that are broken; I hope someone helps this business owner she needs help
Once we got settled in the room I noticed along the wall by the wash basin cigarette ash. When I lifted the sheet on the bed there was debris on the sheet. There was a black widow spider high on the wall where I could not kill it. I did kill two small black widow spiders in the bathroom. The location is most con isn’t relative to where I was visiting my relatives who are local. However, next time I will stay in town at one of the inns I’ve stayed before.
Room smelled like cigarettes pillows had blood stains the floor wasn’t even swept or mopped the comforter had pieces of dirt over all everything was dirty the remote wasn’t even working the mattress was so uncomfortable don’t recommend it at all!!!
Lovely property with beautiful views. Good parking spots near your unit and the owners and property manager are super attentive. Definitely would stay here again. Close to gas stations and stores.
I normally do not write reviews, but this place was very disappointing. We paid for two nights, but left a night early. We stayed in room #4. The woodstove smoked the whole room up. The tub and shower were horrible. There was not step to climb in the tub, the shower had very low pressure and it was just dirty. Very outdated, musty smell in the room, the bathroom light stopped working in the middle of the night. The shampoo and conditoner looked like a set from someone's personal stash. The manager stated he would stack wood outside our room, but didn't.I would not recommend this place to anyone or stay again.

It was unique!!! Way up into the mountains around lots of tress!! Buit in the 1800's
Beautiful!! Did not like that room was not what I booked.
Homey atmosphere, beautiful location, close to Bass Lake, friendly, courteous, and helpful staff. Absolutely recommend this place and I would love to stay here again sometime.
It was a beautiful place; the antique furniture and art was lovely. However, the lack of cleanliness was abysmal. Nothing was clean when we arrived (restroom, kitchen, bedding...), there were stray hairs and we even managed to find a cockroach in the kitchen. That said, the people who run the establishment are very sweet and welcoming. Really the only issue was the lack of cleanliness - everything else about the stay here was wonderful.
STAY AWAY from this place!
Rooms are in despicable condition, the owner is constantly complaining about her employees, appliances are filthy and old. It's the example of a horrible bed-and-breakfast joint.
My wife and I had a disastrous experience at Pine Rose Inn in June 2019 and were promised a one-day return for my reservation but never received it!
I would highly recommend that you spend an extra $200 bucks and stay at the Best Western in downtown Oakhurst.
Place is a dump. Nobody at the office. False advertised. Says they are a hotel, but its actually a bad and breakfast that serves no breakfast. GARBAGE DUMP! Might as well sleep in your car.
t's very difficult to write this review, as the owner and the manager were extremely nice people, however, everything about my stay at the Pine Rose Inn was a negative experience.
pre-Paid Expedia for 2 nights, left after first morning.
I liked that it was unique in that it gave me a feeling of being in a train robber or gunslingers hideout ...tucked away in the hills. I imagined it may a have been a cathouse in its past due to the old pictures scattered around the single room I was in....a little strange overall... I'm not saying this was a bad thing but, the faint of heart might be less adventurous... Just being honest ...
The sheets were stained and there were long dark hairs all over the blanket and pillows. The tub had not been cleaned either. Staff was friendly but did not make up for the gross room
We booked because they said they had WiFi and jacuzzis. We received a few calls before checking in from who we later found out was the owner repeatedly asking for us to bring him cash for our stay even though we had already booked through Hotels. When we got into the cabin the water pressure was non existent but the cabin was clean, we then realized that the WiFi didn’t reach the cabin that we were staying in. And there is absolutely no cell service. When we asked for a refund since the aminities listed weren’t real, we were told no. We tried to make the best of the situation and use the jacuzzi, the jacuzzi has very clearly not been used or cleaned in a very long time and had insects and other things living in it. On check out day, we loaded up our cars and when we went to leave the owner approached my vehicle, a female alone in a car, and asked several times for me to give him a ride, even after I said no the first time. I am very glad I wasn’t alone on this trip because I would not have been comfortable staying there alone. We spent more time away from the cabin than planned because there were times we couldn’t be without service and other times we felt uncomfortable being there. I would recommend staying anywhere else in Oakhurst!!!
