"We were traveling internationally and booked this property weeks in advance. The reservation was confirmed by VBRO. When we contacted the owner for check in instructions 1 hour prior to check in, he said he hadn't checked his email and never got our reservation. We were left in a foreign country scrambling for a new reservation for our week-long holiday at 4pm the same day. The property owner seemed to take no responsibility for ruining our vacation.
