"Great property a very short drive from Selfoss. We stayed a week in early November. The check in book is very thorough. I am very glad the beds were comfortable (rare these days with rental properties) and the owners were very quick to respond with all communication both prior and during our stay. "The cottage is in the perfect area to view the northern lights. It’s just close enough to the nearby town and just far enough to not get the light pollution. The outdoor hot tub for each individual cottage is perfect to sit in and watch the lights. They have the cutest ‘community’ dog that is very sweet and so well behaved. Just be aware if you are allergic to dogs! The bed seems to be a bit old and it was awkward to have just one side to get in and out through as the rest of the bed is up...

I didn't want to leave!

"I'd reserved a stay at the Hotel Litli Geysir but evidently got upgraded to the Hotel Geysir for my stay. Wow, what an upgrade. One of the most elegant and beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. I would have been happy sleeping in the lobby! Wonderful breakfast with anything you could want, and across the street from the geysers, so you could take a morning stroll before all the tour buses arrived. They even offer a wake-up call in case there's a northern lghts display during the night! A++"

"This was a magical place to stay. We were right across from the geysers and they could be seen from the restaurant on property. Staff was helpful and staff at the bar and our servers at the restaurant were kind and made us feel welcomed. The room was really clean with a modern architectural design and the beds were the most comfortable we slept in here in Iceland. Please add a spa some day and it would be a 10 star review:)"
