Large Old Forge Waterfront Victorian With Dock

This 4000 sq ft Victorian has 3 bathrooms and 6 large bedrooms plus a den on the first floor with a queen size sleeper sofa. There are enough beds for 15 people. There is a 24'x24' private dock for swimming, and boating. There are also kayaks and a paddle board for your use. With a long circular driveway there is plenty of room for parking, and ample room for maneuvering your trailer. Enjoying making meals in the spacious kitchen or grilling up a feast on the 6 burner propane grill. Then sit down for a picnic outside at the picnic table or inside at the large dining room table. We are located within walking distance to the village of Old Forge. We also have Roku on 3 televisions in the house. Most TVs, and Blu-Ray players are also set up with Netflix, HBOGo, Vudu, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. Free Wifi is on premises and covers the house well.
For winter activities, we are located within 3 miles of McCauley Mt for skiing, within 5 miles of snowshoe and cross-country ski trails at Fern Park, within .25 miles of Trail 5 for snowmobiling and gas fill up. There is a large
garage that can store plenty of sleds, and with a long circular driveway there is plenty of room for parking, and ample room for maneuvering your trailer. . Walk out your door, hop on your sled and enjoy over 380 groomed miles of the Central Adirondack Trails!
*Please note that an all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive vehicle is HIGHLY recommended in Old Forge during winter.

This property is absolutely fabulous !!! Description and photos are spot-on.....Beautifully maintained and a huge house for the whole family to spread out. The 3rd floor game room took this property over the top !! I would highly recommedn this property to any large family looking to spend time at Old Forge .

Old Forge Family get away
This is a older lake house in perfect condition and very well suited for a large family or group. The location is right on the old forge pond/channel and also very walkable to town. The owners have spared no expense in insuring their guests a comfortable stay with every amenity they’ll ever need. We would definitely return!

Great location and great house
We had a family getaway with four generations under one roof and this house has something for everyone. The kids loved the game room ( not so much a room as it is the entire third floor!! Bubble hockey was the clear favorite). They also loved fishing, kayaking and the swing set. We did all the meals at the house and the kitchen has all the hardware you could hope for. The living areas and the front porch were great. The fall weather was perfect. We did a day trip to the Wild Center and everything worked out well!

The Gateway to Get-a-Way
I had done a lot of searching in three different areas of the state while looking to book and ended up in a place most familiar to me. Nestled in Old Forge, the gateway to what the ADK has to show and give you, this property was just what we all needed. Traveling from Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and Rome, we all enjoy getting away from the city from time to time but also need a bit of modern still within reach. This property, in this location, gave us that. Clean, huge, well decorated, well maintained, and well-manicured made it all well enjoyed. The owners were great to coordinate with and the amenities offered by them and their property left us wanting for nothing more. A nice dose of medicine for the soul that was as sweet as could be. Our thanks to the owners and the town of Old Forge.

Awesome house in Adirondacks, close to Old Forge
We had a wonderful stay at the house in Old Forge. There was plenty of activities, kayaks and stand-up water boards right on property. There was even a wide range of sizes of life jackets available for our use. The 3rd floor game room was wonderful and got a lot of use on rainy days. The wrap around porch was a huge hit. There have been many updates since we last visited there 4 yrs ago, including railings on the steps to the waterfront and dock. The house is well stocked. We look forward to visiting again. I would definitely recommend this property

Great Getaway
The Victorian house inside and outside was beautiful and peaceful! We enjoyed everything from the large dock, the beautiful and restful porch, the large and well equipped kitchen and dining room, and the big bedrooms. We played games, kayaked, took walks, enjoyed the hot tub, and went to the movies. The town is only minutes away, and the house is really "tucked away" for privacy and quietness. Owners were very accessible and friendly.

Gorgeous LARGE place on the lake
This is a HUGE house with All the amenities right on the lake. The hosts were always just a text away and VERY responsive. Great house for some family time . Lots to do very close by or do nothing at all and just relax. We will be going back!

Wonderful Escape!!!
The house was AMAZING! It was so nice to escape the chaos of the normal day to day. It was close enough to the town that we could run and grab a few things if needed, but was far enough away that it was quiet and relaxing. The rooms are all large and there was definitely enough space to comfortably sleep all. The kids loved the game room upstairs! The private dock was nice for fishing and the fire pit was great for the evenings. All in all and excellent stay in a beautiful house!

Beautiful Home on Old Forge Pond
This is a beautiful, very large home on Old Forge Pond. We would suggest booking with Lisa and Nate. The owners quickly responded to our questions . So many amenities, including the hot tub and a beautiful view from the dock. It was a cold weekend for October, so we spent much of our time inside. Plenty of space for 4 couples. We very much enjoyed our stay and will book again. Thank you.

The listing doesn’t do justice to this home. Close enough to Old Forge to walk and see all the town has to offer, but not so close that you feel like you’re part of the constant activity. Beautiful home with many updates, HUGE dock with all kinds of water activities (kayaks, peddle boat, paddle boards and all the safety equipment). If the weather isn’t too good there’s lots of activities in the third floor game area and every TV has access to multiple carriers to watch anything!

Tucked Away
This was my first time renting from VRBO and what a way to start. Tucked Away is an incredible home, everything you could need was here. Right on the water. My 8 year old grandson loved fishing of the dock. We went Kayaking and paddleboarding ( which came with the house), had a fire all three nights and celebrated two of my sons birthdays. The kitchen and butlers pantry were well supplied. The frosting on the cake, so to speak, was the third floor game room. My grandchildren couldn't decide what to do first. The house is stunning and perfectly located. We had a large diverse group, some like to shop, others Hike and some just want to relax. This house is perfect for all! The view from the dock is amazing and we were able to watch the fireworks in Old Forge from the dock. Thank you so much for opening your home. Great house for family gatherings
The house was perfect for our needs, lots of room and nicely furnished. Large laundry room off the kitchen with a second fridge and beverage cooler, as well as much needed counter space. Hot tub on the patio off the kitchen, very nice, looked brand new. Well equipped kitchen with baking pans and trays, mixing bowls, 3 sets of dishes, lots of wine, beer, and other drink glasses, an espresso maker, Keurig, and drip coffeemaker. There is a butler's pantry between the kitchen and DR that houses most of the pans as well as a large crock pot, mixer, etc.. We loved the huge dock, but aren't fans of those camp chairs in the bags so we used the ones from the patio near the kitchen. Loved the 4 kayaks, paddleboard and paddleboat. The house is near town, and yes an easy walk, my husband and I did it a few times. Even though the house is on the channel linking Old Forge Pond with First Lake, it is fairly wide and plenty deep enough for swimming, but probably very busy with boaters in the summer. You can see the town from the dock. We loved the porch, however many of the cushions were stained and in need of cleaning; same can be said for the sectional sofa in the LR, which was very dirty. I would rate it at 4.5 stars because of that. There are plenty of bath towels and kitchen towels, but I counted only 6 beach towels, not quite enough for everyone. There is a big table in the kitchen that we used for the kids, and adults ate at the even bigger table in the DR, which worked well for all. Nice to be able to house the whole family so we could enjoy a week together, we would vacation here again.

The house was way more than expected. The pictures are beautiful, but don't do justice. The house is stunning with a mix of modern and Victorian. There was not much more to ask for. We enjoyed everything about the residence. The kayaks, fire pit, hot tub, picnic table on the dock and wood burning stove were just some features that will bring us back again next year.

Perfect Place for a Family Reunion in the Adirondacks
Our family of 16, including children and babies, had a wonderful time in this house. The location could not be better... on the water and private -- yet a short walk into the village of Old Forge. Swimming is wonderful for all. The house is much bigger than it appears. And, rain or shine, the porch is a beautiful gathering spot. Very clean. Nice linens. All the dishes, coffee makers, pots'n pans you need. Even two refrigerators. And, of course, the dock with four kayaks is amazing. Thank you, Lisa!
