I understood a renovation had been done to the hotel. It was plain, bare and ugly. The lock messed up so the day manager told us there was a problem with the deadlock (a must in a hotel). He “fiddled” with it and got the door open. It wasn’t replaced. Bathroom sink backed up with used dental floss coming up from the drain as well as hair and shaving hair. I informed the front desk, next day the manager poured “Drano” down the drain. Don’t know if that fixed the problem because we used the tub faucet instead.No plumber came to fix it. We are seniors who have problems with stairs. We assumed the elevator would be operational the 2 days we were there. It was for one day. It was very hard carefully going down and up to the third floor. Had plans to use the hot tub, it was out of order due to a “chemical imbalance”. Saw no one working on it. We will NEVER use a Holiday Inn again. I believe we are due a refund or a lowered rate for our experience.
