However, I was a bit disappointed with the maintenance of the facilities. It was quite evident that the property hasn’t received the necessary upkeep, and the wear and tear over time was noticeable. "The temps dropped to 50s F and the room I was in didn't have a thermostat. After freezing the 1st night I told the front desk and they told me they would turn it on. It came on for the 2nd night, I froze again the 3rd night as the heat wasn't turned on. I would never stay there again. Breakfast was nothing but pastries no silverware on tables."

"The grounds are absolutely beautiful! The hotel itself is old and needs some maintenance. The restaurant was great for dinner and they have incredible coffee. The staff went above & beyond! My spouse was sick and needed medication and they arranged a taxi pickup and found us a safe pharmacy and had the transportation fully arranged."

"Room was extremely small and basic. Looked more like a campus dormitory than a hotel. Absolutely NO frills and yet the price was relatively high compared to other, better, hotels. Would not stay again as used to more comfort and extras."

"We have stayed here about 7 times. The staff is very accommodating and the security is tight. Lovely outdoor pool area but it’s not heated. Housekeeping does a great job. Good restaurant, room service and bar. Take the free bikes for a ride around the golf course. Lots of birds including owls can be seen at any time of day. "
