"Give yourself 24 hours to settle in. We arrived in perfect weather for a 4 day respite and only for one day, with land breezes, did we experience some pesky flies. The fresh salt air, wide star-lit skies, 24/7 quiet and mesmerizing moon-glow off the waters, 360 degrees worth, more than make up for any such small annoyance. There is some history to appreciate about the island and the cottage. When you find yourself first thing in the morning checking the tide schedules, you will then realize...

"Overall the stay was amazing! Highly recommend pizza from Deltapie, desserts were also amazing we got pumpkin cheesecake and the cannoli. Dinner at The Table is a must! Food and atmosphere were just wonderful. We also ate at Tap and Raw bar, casual local spot. Loved the house, the area was quiet and the view from the water was simply amazing. Would recommend packing an extra blanket, the bed had a quilt and an extra blanket but it got pretty chilly so even with the heat on it wasnt quite enough....

"The home and location are very nice and as described. The reason I am ranking only 3-stars is because the house was very hot when we arrived. We turned the AC to 71 degrees, yet the WYZE thermostat kept remotely changing to 79 degrees. It was about 95 degrees outside, so we couldn’t find any relief from the heat. I contacted the owner a couple of times about the temp changing and was told “Sorry! We’re out of town”. Ultimately, the thermostat shut off completely. We tried to turn it back on with...

"1. Back porch steps REALLY need work. We tripped down them several times over our stay. 2. Need to add "microwave" to amenities list. 3. If there's an outdoor fire pit, wood should be supplied or it shouldn't be listed as such. Buying enough wood for the weekend if there's none there could cost $50-$60. 4. Everything else was fantastic. Grill, kitchen utensils and appliances, beds, linens, furniture were all great."
