About the Property

Located at the gateway to the East Coast, Views on Charles is perfect for families, couples or friends seeking a coastal retreat, only an hour from Hobart.

The home sleeps up to six people. The huge master bedroom has a queen size bed and provides a quiet adult retreat with its own private deck, ensuite and walk in robe. You can enjoy the beautiful sea views whilst lying in bed, eating breakfast or sipping a cool drink on your private deck.

The other bedrooms have built-in robes, one with a queen size bed and the other with two king single beds. This versatile layout allows for family to three couples to stay comfortably.

The open-plan lounge, kitchen has floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors to a long deck furnished with comfortable outdoor lounge for taking in the beautiful water view and Maria Island.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, oven, hotplates, microwave and dishwasher with basic pantry and cleaning items supplied.

A reverse cycle air conditioner and panel heater keeps the indoors comfortable and there is plenty to do no matter the weather. This includes a three-person spa in the main bathroom, a DVD player, board games, books as well as a gas barbecue on the back deck. A port a cot and highchair are as available for those that need it.

The laundry has a front load washing machine, clothes dryer, laundry tub and complimentary laundry consumables.

Views on Charles is an easy seven-minute walk to the beach, playground and local café and the known as the gateway to the east coast of Tasmania with easy access for trips to Maria Island, Swansea and boutique wineries. It is also an easy day trip to the Tasman Peninsula where you can visit Port Arthur historic site and other nearby tourist attractions like the Remarkable Caves.

Orford is a beautiful coastal town with trails along the coast for walking or bike riding, a large well-designed playground with barbecue facilities, café, supermarket and local pub with counter meals.

Wonderful property in a beautiful location
Had everything we needed for our short stay (except good weather :)) Our van struggled to get up the driveway (so sorry about the accidental wheelies) but that was our problem, not the host or property. Very easy check in and out and loved the views. Wifi didn't really work for us and 4G was rubbish, perhaps weather related but something to keep in mind for other guests.

A spacious and comfortable house to stay at. The house had everything a traveler would need. Host was very helpful and answered a lot of questions that were beyond what's in the house. I appreciate the care and time given. Sidenote: Orford is a small town and Tasmania is mostly rural. Some of the roads leading to/from the town are unpaved. Better to check in advance if you'd like to avoid that surprise.
