Modern 2 bed-bathroom Ground Floor Apartment in Playa Flamenca - Great location

Modern two bedroomed ground floor apartment completed in April 2015. Furnished to the latest in modern Spanish design, the apartment has been equipped with the digital generation in mind, offering State of the art linked to Police/Ambulance Security system, Fibre-optic WI-FI, Smart LED TV with Blu-ray player and Blue-Tooth/USB Micro system for music. Furthermore for families with young children, the enclosed tiled garden/patio is fully fenced and private offering a secure area to play. It is a secure gated complex with cc tv videophone entry system.

Playa Flamenca area has a wide range of shops, bars and restaurants and is a popular location for holidaymakers and residents alike. Summer evenings are very busy in Playa Flamenca and there is plenty of live entertainment on offer in the various bars and plenty of choice with restaurants offering cuisines from all over the world, including Asian, Italian, Spanish, English, Irish, Argentinian and Thai to name a few.
A modern apartment complex at the respected and desirable Alameda del Mar, Playa Flamenca, Orihuela Costa, near Torrevieja, Alicante province on the Costa Blanca.
Playa Flamenca is situated within easy distance of two airports at Murcia (RMU) and Alicante (ALC), both appx 40 minutes drive respectively. It can be accessed from the N-332 coast road or from the toll charging AP-7 motorway (at the La Zenia turning).
The apartment is south facing for Sun throughout the day from mid-morning and well into the evening until Sunset.
There are two swimming pools on the complex, one a very large adult pool and a shallow adjoining young children’s pool. The pool area is surrounded by a gated fence so unsupervised toddlers do not roam free into it. The beautifully kept communal gardens offer generous space for sunbathing.
A Car is not necessary as all amenities are within walking distance, however if hiring a car there is a covered private parking space by the apartment door. Airport transfers can be arranged at competitive prices versus the taxi-firms.
Capacity for up to six persons with Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, one with walk in shower, one double bed, one twin bed. The living area sofa bed can sleep a further two children. A Travel cot and high chair are available to rent locally. Please note the locally payable cleaning charges of €60 per stay.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, oven, hob microwave and fridge freezer and all utensils necessary for home cooking.
Separate utility room with washing machine and storage.
Dining table with four chairs extends to six plus two breakfast barstools.
Patio dining table and chairs under the 4.5 x 2.5 meter Toldo (awning).
A ‘Plancha’ (table top grill) is available for outside cooking.
The Air conditioning unit is a new ducted system, powerful but efficient, eco-friendly unit.
Satellite TV with all free to air UK TV channels. Community Fibre - OpticTV input offers UK plus Euro channels and lots more for European visitors.
Blu-ray player + library of films.
Blue-Tooth Radio/CD player with USB input.
Tower Speaker with Blue-Tooth connectivity - listen to music whilst relaxing on the terrace.
Costa Blanca Guides plus a traditional road map for visitors use.

Our 2nd stay here. Close to supermarkets and restaurants. Very comfortable apartment with sun on the terrace all day, can get very hot so the awning is very welcome, some sunbeds would be a welcome addition. Owner and key holder were easily contactable. Note the terrace can be noisy at times being next to the apt block gate although there is a privacy screen the footfall may be an issue for some guests, we didn't find this an issue and we found it very quiet at night. We didn't use the pool but it is close by. Maybe 25 min walk to the beach but is generally flat. Decent wifi and some UK tv channels. Overall a great apt for a couple or family. We would happily return again.

Great apartment and location
Comms and check in were superb with clear instructions, prompt and very efficient process for access. Apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The swimming pool area is amazing - one of the best pools we have used in a long time. The complex is quiet. A previous guest mentioned noise from the gate which is next to the apartment’s terrace. It does get used but was never intrusive whatsoever - very convenient though! The location is good for access to the commercial areas with loads of places to eat and drink.

Just returned from a 7 night stay at this property. On our 3rd day we left the apartment for lunch and when we returned an hour later, we had been broken into and robbed of all our valuables. We know these things can happen but the back patio door had no lock and key, only a flimsy latch which only needed a small screwdriver to pop it open. There was no safe inside of the room to store our valuables. This happened in broad daylight but unsurprisingly due to the lack of security of the property. The twin bedroom at the front was also next to a noisy lift which disturbed our sleep.

A great family property, this apartment is about as good a location that you could imagine, not only in the complex itself but with everything you require right on your doorstep, there's nothing not to like. right at the entrance to the complex, 30-40yds from the pool, with its own private terrace and literally everything you need within the apartment, we have had a great holiday, we are a family of 5, with children of 13, 4 and 2. The whole experience for us has been painless from the minute it was booked to the minute we left, The owner contacted us immediately and just helped the process, also as a bonus, the housekeeper runs a transfer service (at very favourable rates), so these guys have everything covered. We will return most definitely and this place comes highly recommended from us.

Fab sun terrace, early Oct it got the sun 9am to 7pm, note the terrace is not immediately around the pool but 1 row away. Comfortable bed, plenty of kitchen equipment, good WiFi. Supermarkets very close but the wheeled shopping basket proved very useful. Lots of restaurants within a couple of mins walk. Some distance to the beach and no taxis around so could be difficult for some people but the immediate area is flat. I would visit again.

We had a couple of issues when we first arrived but after a chat with Mike we sorted these out . I have to agree with previous reviews on issue with gate next to patio , it does seem like easiest route to shops , it can be busy . Pool was amazing although it was closed a few times for "cleaning" . It was also closed between 3 and 5pm assuming for residents siesta time , found this inconvenient as it was probably the best time for a dip . The apartment was ideal for shops, bars and restaurants .

Not a place to stay without a car
Area is nice but wouldn’t recommend staying here without a car. A long walk (down the side of a dual carriageway) to get to the beach and other than the small commercial centre not a lot else nearby. Unfortunately more than 50% of the restaurants and bars in the commercial centre had closed down, sadly I expect as a result of the pandemic. The apartment itself was ok although a little dated in it’s decor it was clean and tidy with plenty of spare clean towels and bedding. Disappointed to not be able to use the BBQ in the garden due to it being filthy, could well be down to previous guests leaving it that way. Also disappointed as no sun beds/loungers either in the property or at the pool. A big part of my holiday is lying in the sun and had to do so on a towel on the grass by the pool, not ideal. Also the apartment faces on to a road which can be noisy and is very dusty. Paul and his wife who look after the apartment for the owners and collected us from the airport were lovely and full of useful tips for our stay. I probably wouldn’t stay here again although we did enjoy our time in Playa Flamenca.

Excellent property and owner
Excellent property and perfect communication from the owner before and throughout my stay. The apartment is well located for all the close local amenities and beach. Being on the ground floor, it's ideal for access and inside has everything you need for a comfortable and pleasant stay. The owner also operates, through friends, a taxi service to and from the airport which is cheaper and easier than official taxis and I would also recommend this. Overall a great short vacation and very recommended property to rent

The apartment was perfect for us a couple early 50 the property had everything we needed /very clean acourt yard garden/patio which got the sun all day and in a great location 5-to10 min from bar so close enough but far enough to get no noise from. So no need for a car a further 3/4 resorts you can walk to in 15/20 mins The owner + key holder where both great to deal with all very easy We have stayed in many apartments this one we highly recommend Dave&caz

Lovely 2 week holiday at this apartment and was very impressed with the quality and facilities available. It’s well located to a commercial centre where there is a good selection of restaurants to choose from. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

Nice......but I wouldn’t go again!
The property was nice and well maintained, in a secure complex with a lovely big pool and smaller children’s pool. The apartment itself isn’t big enough for 6 though, 4 of our 6 were children but we still had nowhere near enough room both in the apartment and also storage for clothes etc. The pool was great but the area around it was very narrow on 3 sides meaning most people are sat at the bottom of the pool, on grass as there are no sun loungers, no inflatables allowed, no ball games so not great for families with young children, really handy having a Lidl directly across the road but not much going on in the surrounding area in the evenings entertainment wise!
