"Nous avons apprécié notre séjour (une semaine autour de Noel) en famille. La taille et l'équipement du gîte étaient parfaits pour nos retrouvailles - trois générations réunies. "Wonderful property, I cannot say enough about the house and the lovely owner. Everything was thought of and taken care of. The house is well laid out, beautifully decorated, and the bedrooms are very comfortable and spotless with all new sheets/towels/robes. Hot tub was great to enjoy in the evening, so was the wood stove with ample firewood, ping pong, bikes, and a fenced yard for the pups. We had an incredible time and highly recommend. Five stars!"

"The tower was absolutely beautiful and very unique, the craftsmanship was phenomenal and it was a lovely place to stay for a night. Unfortunately we didn't use the pool or other facilities but the owner Louise was very nice and the menu offered sounded delicious, although I ended up just getting some fresh eggs from the chickens on the grounds. "Le Crebillon is an absolutely gorgeous house! Decorated with style and impeccable taste, it allows a large group (we were seven adults) to gather in the living and dining spaces while the very comfortable rooms are quiet. "The interior of the apartment is as described and shown in photos. However, for our stay the pool was not open, the tennis court over grown, and the grass up to knee height. This had the effect of reducing the usable area of the 2.8 hectare property to the driveway and the apartment which was very disappointing to our group and difficult with small children. Most critically, there is no wifi and the property is in an area with no phone signal. The owner is very pleasant and we were able to enjoy our stay fine enough but I would say this is priced for the description not the reality."

"We wanted for nothing in this property, everything was provided. It was in a huge, secluded garden, but the property was separate, and a long way from the main house, so we didn't feel enclosed in any way. We sat/ate outside a lot of the time, and felt that we were a long way from the main house. Samur-en-Auxois was everything we thought it was, and François Meunieur was extremely helpful. 10/10!"

Best property we have ever rented

"This rental property is a huge cut above anything we have ever stayed in...and that goes back many years. The properties have been restored to a very high standard, with taste and grace. The bedrooms are all beautiful, and the bathrooms immaculate. The living accommodation has been thoughtfully planned out to be versatile for any combination of events and people. We used the outside table for several al fresco dinners of 20, and we used the inside tables at both properties for meals also seating 20. There is plenty of tableware, and the kitchen equipment enabled us to cook high quality meals. We used the barbecues multiple times, the hot tub was a real treat, and the bikes got lots of use! The grounds are enclosed, so our dog happily roamed free, he had a great time too! Our host Nathalie was very helpful but happy to leave us as independent, which was perfect. All of us enjoyed staying here immensely, and we will definitely book again. Parfait"
