Good social vibe. Not a party hostel by any means but it was very friendly. Everything was clean and organized. Right on top of the train station so it’s super easy to get around. Great place to meet people and enjoy Osaka.
I stayed in a semi private room, and it was honestly brilliant. More hostels should do that, cause it was so nice to be able to have your own space, but not have to buy a single room. The other facilities were nice and clean. I also loved that I was invited to join on a night out when I checked in.
The staff was very nice but the semi private room wasn’t so semi private, it was next to the community bathrooms and toilets three feet away. Just a tiny curtain separating the bed and the bathroom. The place had a horrible smell of body odor that couldn’t be identified where it was coming from. It was on top of the subway station and the neighborhood was less sanitary than you would expect from Japan. It actually was the only place I have visited in Japan where I saw homeless people and lots of trash on the street. As well, the people sharing the hostel were walking around in their underwear and looked strung out. We booked two nights but decided to leave as soon as possible the next morning after the first night and never look back. If you like loud and smelly and bright lights flashing on your eyes all night long, then this is the place for you.
The place is located in a metro station, which made things super easy and convenient to explore around the city. The place is clean and organized but some of the guests weren’t, which made things a little difficult. Some guests would leave their stuff in the middle of the passage and people would trip when walking at night, and also some of them were not the cleanest ones (they had really bad smell). It got to a point where some of the staff had to spread some air fresheners around the bunks to help coping with the smell. I really liked the place, the only issues I had were caused by other guests and could’ve been avoided if they were more hygienic and organized.
Second time staying in hostels in Japan. The open of meeting area kitchen are well equipped convenient for group to use. Love the elevator is connecting to subway entrance.
✅The hostel was clean, the beds were an adequate size, the locker was large
❌ The bed wasn’t totally enclosed so you can hear everything. Stuck next to the worst snorer known to man. Hairdryers going off at night time, you can hear the subway (lightly) and if you’re in a top bunk, you can cover the window so the light will wake you
