"We chose this property because it's location allowed easy reach of York, Harrogate and sightseeing opportunities towards the North Yorks Moors. Lovely house in a quiet village. Generous rooms, great facilities. We were late in the season so didn't get a chance to use the outdoors areas but would be great in the summer. No issues, but where we had questions/requests the host responded almost immediately and came round if necessary. Highly recommended"

"We loved our stay at Holly Cottage, the kitchen is fabulously equipped, and house has a welcoming friendly decor. The kitchen and snug is a fabulous place to gather and where we spent a lot of our time. Parking at the property was easy, and plenty of room for our 2 cars - but with a car park just around the corner it would be easy with more vehicles. If I had arrived after dark you would never find the key box as there is no lighting in the area where access is. "Lovely hotel, staff fabulous. Pool is smaller but went in the morning and quiet, enjoyed the steam room and jacuzzi. Would have liked to have information on times of breakfast and the pool, but easily got information when asked. Breakfast was lovely too. Well definitely re visit"

"It was an amazing stay, staff lovely and helpful, food was great in restaurant, rooms were really nice too, only negative would be bathroom! Tiles broken on floor where toilet is and window need a blind or curtain as tge frosted stickers are peeling off and people can see into bathroom! However this did not take away from an amazing stay. Anyone using pool should probably be made aware pre visit that you need a padlock for lockers also."

"We had a long day in York out in the rain and this Hotel cheered us up no end. The suite was amazing and so comfortable and the bathroom was spectacular!! The food was so fresh and delicious and the staff very friendly and attentiveThe bar and dining area was all decorated for Christmas which was lovely and cosy. Just wish we could have stayed longer but we will be back .Thank you loved our stay and couldnt think of a negative if I tried !"
