Good location and great accommodating staff. We were able to leave our luggage and they took it up to the room. Room was pretty good, had everything we needed.

good location
this hotel is a bit rundown to say the least. its perfect for location, and for our needs of a night at the theatre next door, ideal. i would not stay there any longer, the place is a generous 3 star!!

Well situated
Comfy bed, well situated for the bus station and bus stops. walking into town 10 minutes only. On street parking seemed to be permit only! go to Redbridge park and ride and leave your car there. the bus stops outside!. take earplugs because the music plays till 1.00am ish
Hotel could do with refurbishing but for one or 2 nights amd at the price it was worth it

Convenient Location
A central location next to the bus station and adjacent to a bar (once The Welsh Pony public house). I needed to be in the city overnight so it suited my needs. The room was clean and well ordered. Not a glamorous establishment but ok if you are passing through. Convenient for an early morning coach to London or the airports or a late night kebab

It was fine. We got what we paid for. Needs one TLC, needs thicker curtains and as it’s above a bar, expect noise. However, it was clean and perfectly fine as a bed for the night.
Disappointed with this hotel as the room was classed as Deluxe, but in reality it is a bit dismal, smells of cigarette smoke, filthy windows, but no view anyway. The TV when switched on was smashed, and luckily the guy on reception was able to replace this.
Bed was comfy. Due to being located above a late night bar. The place was noisy with music thudding away.
But due to the city being very busy, most hotels were well over my budget, so needs must
Wow talk about grim, wallpaper is peeling off the walls, carpet is worn and threadbare, smell of smoke half way up the stairs from the room beside reception. The bed was comfortable enough and the room was huge, but everything was dingy and tired!
Plug sockets broken, tv needed to be tuned to work, issues locking and unlocking the bedroom door, issues accessing the hotel from outside as the keypad stopped working
Shower broken. Either scalding or freezing. Paint peeling off the walls. Lights over the beds didn’t work. Handrail on the stairs broken. Glad we didn’t spend much time there. Good location. Very overpriced for the state of the place. Bedroom door looked like it had been kicked in. Didn’t feel very safe.

You cannot be at the location. It is close to everything. Situated literally next to the bus station, it has a wide range of amenities nearby. It is just a few minutes walk to all of the major attractions in Oxford. The staff is very kind and friendly, even if they don’t know a lot about running hotels and making beds. They are extremely responsive to any needs. Try to not think of this as much as a hotel as a really comfortable and quiet hostel. Try and get a room on the top floor if possible, as the nine nights, we spent there, almost every night above us was a reenactment of Riverdance, including sometimes people Cooking and bringing in a lot of very stinky food. That is against the rules, however. Although it is right above a bar, it is not very loud, except on Friday, and the music turns off at 1 AM. This was not a problem for us, as we were exhausted from travel. Some of the rooms have en suite bathrooms, and those are nice. Some have shared bathrooms. Be sure that you know what do you want. While this is an expensive hotel, it is much cheaper than the other hotels in the area. Be sure that you can walk up four or so flights of stairs to get to any of the rooms. If so, it is a place to stay.
Aweful hotel. Pictures are very misleading. The room is Super tiny with no place to put your suitcase. The walls a very thin so you can hear everything including the doir shutting.
This is not a hotel, The only aspect that was in it's favour was it's location. The room was dirty and the bathroom had mould on the ceiling. It's a multi-occupany type establishment rather than a hotel. We could have stayed at a hostel and had a more enjoyable experience. No dining , concierge non -existant- Unsafe area at night.
A grimy old little hotel - some of it is to do with the building and property, but lots is just to do with not-caring: they could clean it better and spruce it up easily - but they don’t bother.
The rooms are also accessed with a code (not a key) which seems like it is never changed. The reception says it is open all day but it took 15 minutes of phoning and buzzing to get into the property.

Below average
The staff were polite, but the condition of the hotel and the rooms is rather worn in. It is located next to the bus station, so you will need earplugs. Also there is no Aircon so you will have to have the fan on all night on this heat. It's very central, so everything is at your doorstep.
You get what you pay for. Above a bar, so loud, and no lift, so going up two flights or more of stairs with luggage. But in city center, so that adds a lot of value. Staff was basically not there. Again, you get what you pay for.
