Unique and quirky central apartment with parking
Please be aware that the property can sleep up to 4 individuals. There are 2 double bedrooms. We provide bedding, linen and towels for both of the double beds however if you wish to make use of the additional sofa bed you will need to bring your own bedding, linen and towels, as we do not provide this, thank you.
Welcome to The Wharf House, live like a local and experience the city of Oxford from this unique two bedroom pub conversion, perfectly situated in central Oxford with an allocated parking space. The apartment is located in the centre of Oxford, you will find the new Westgate Shopping Centre and the Oxford Castle along with an abundance of shops, restaurants, bars and activities only a short walk away. The railway station and bus station are under a 5 minute walk away. Perfect for any occasion!
This 2 bedroom duplex apartment is equipped with everything you will need to make your stay feel like home from home. When you enter through the hallway, you will arrive into the open plan living and dining area where you will find the spacious, modern kitchen to your right. As you carry on through the apartment you will find the downstairs toilet to the left of the stairway. Once upstairs you will see a large bedroom accompanied with a king size bed, with ample of wardrobe and storage space, as you carry on down the landing you will see the bathroom on your left which offers both a shower and bath which has recently been renovated. The second bedroom is at the end of the landing and has a king size bed and ample space for storage.
The apartment has one allocated parking space situated outside of the property additionally in the city there are many car parks close by, including: Worcester Street Car Park, Westgate Car Park, Oxpens Car Park. Alternatively, Oxford offers many Park & Rides the closest and most convenient for the apartment is Seacourt Park & Ride as the bus service drops you off very close to the apartment.
The apartment is just a short walk from the railway station and also the central bus station located in Gloucester Green.
Guest access Guests have use of the whole apartment. Once a booking is confirmed I will send you details relating to your check in.
Interaction with guests We are on hand throughout guests stay and provide an emergency out of hour's telephone number for your peace of mind. We like to give our guests space to enjoy their stay, but we are on hand and available when needed.
Bookings over 10 days will receive a complimentary weekly linen change carried out by our housekeeping team, I will inform you of the scheduled day that this will take place. An additional housekeeping service can be arranged upon request (charged additionally)

Our hosts were very helpful and quick to respond when I had a few questions. The unit was what we needed, comfortable and space for everyone to spread out. The location was wonderful, we were out walking every day to see what we were interested in, didn’t need an Uber once, And if a bus was needed, the stations were very close.
Fantastatically located property. Starting to look a little tired perhaps and beds not particularly comfortable but for a short stay am sure most would be very content.
The property was beautiful but there were no sheets for the sofa bed so the 5th person just had to sleep with a duvet without a sheet and blankets from the sofa

Great central location for visiting Oxford. A parking space included is a huge bonus. Very clean apartment with lots of amenities. Would definitely recommend to others. Only two things we would change, the mattresses were not comfortable on either bed and we needed a baby cot which the property was not able to provide.

This property is in a great location easily accessible to many areas in Oxford! Well equipped kitchen that we didn’t use for our short stay. Good tv, seating area, and table for cards. It doesn’t have AC and there are no fans, the front window doesn’t stay open to help cool the interior. The bedroom carpet smelled bad and all carpet upstairs is aged and stained. The bathroom upstairs was clean, but had a hazy mirror with limited views. The linens and towels were nice. The supply of toilet paper for three nights with four people was short.
Great location for 1 night stay to pick up son at Oxford
This would be a 5-star review if the mattresses were better. They are remarkably uncomfortable. That said, it's a good apartment in a great location, and check in was easy. We needed better instructions on how to work the stove as well.
These were the best arrival instructions I've received. Very thorough. Nice sitting area in the open "great room" and a table comfortable for 4 easily. Speedy, reliable wifi. Short walk to Westgate center with its many trendy rooftop restaurants. Short walk the other way to The Head of the River, spectacular pub with excellent service and an outdoor patio with views of the active river traffic.
The flat is in a good location, as described, and I'd be willing to return but at age 75 I fing myself resisting places with stairs.
Great location but that is where the positives stop. The property smells damp and musty. The downstairs window won’t open to allow fresh air in. The entrance is untidy and dingy. The entry hall was littered with laundry bags and were a trip hazard. The beds were uncomfortable, very thin mattresses. The beds were described as king size but at best were a double, so we had two poor night’s sleep. The bathroom had peeling caulking, a bodied shower connection, the mirror is misted and not clear. The downstairs toilet is damp with plaster coming away and the skirting is loose. The curtain rail in the lounge has missing hooks. The TV reception is poor and the TV pixelated frequently.
Near the center of Oxford, 4 minute walk to West Gate shopping mall with lots of restaurants, 10 minutes to Oxford Castle & Prison, and 15 minutes to FootPrint Tours of Oxford University plus access to parks etc.We liked the parking in the back of the building and relatively quick access to other parts of the area.
Nicest thing about this flat its location within easy walking distance to downtown, Oxford University and shopping. The entrance to the flat is on the ground floor with stairs up to the bedrooms. Getting into the flat was a little complicated but the host provided good directions. The building the flat is located in is at the corner of two busy roads but there was not a lot of noise at night thankfully. The outside of the building was not much to look at and there was junk in the hallway from other flats. Inside the flat is as described in the pictures. Furnishings were nice and everything worked well. The beds were the size described but not very comfortable.
