Quiet average place to stay. Room was clean enough. Mirror not clean, small spider in bathroom behind door. We could not get TV to work . The young lady at desk told my husband to unplug and plug back in. Still didn’t work. I called later and complained about tv and she came up to room and fixed it. Apparently one of 2 cords not plugged in. Then the TV was great. My husband thought she could have been friendlier. A smile could have gone a long way! The grounds outside were mowed but needed some shaping up (trim bushes, maybe plant some flowers, ? ). Hallway was hot and the carpet in hallway was dirty. But the room was clean enough and AC worked well. Not much at breakfast bar(waffle maker, toast, small muffins, cereal, juice and according to my husband horrible coffee). But close to McDonald’s and a Dollar General. One other thing, the outlet by sink would not stay on so I had to do my hair(for a wedding) by the desk which thankfully had a mirror.

Easy access from I24. Do not try to check-in early if you are not a member of the Wyndham Hotel club. You will be charged an extra fee. PS. why was I charged a processing fee for two when there was only 1???

I like that there were many options for parking and many options for the eating just right beside motel. I didnt like that there wasnt steps. It was hard to pack my luggage up the stairs as heavy as it was. For 160.00 you would think you would have an elevator. It like it was pretty basic for the price. For an individual cottage with State Resort Park resort, you would pay 213.00 total for two nights. Very nice. Although not all the bells and whistles, it still is an individual standing building. I dont have to fight the steps for my luggage. Not to mention you could hear alot through the walls and doors.

Reservations were made for 2 queen suite for 5 when we checked in we were given 2 king beds for 5 adults and they would not change room to what we had reserved nor bring a roll away or cot in because it was to hard for housekeeping . Owners wife was very rude and couldn’t understand what she was jabbering about..Don’t stay here! The only thing for breakfast was waffles or toast.

Low expectations, worse in reality
We knew when we booked that we weren’t getting the best here. It was the night before the eclipse, and everything was sold out for 100 miles. But we didn’t expect what happened. We booked 2 rooms. Upon arrival at about 6 PM, we found that the AC unit in our room was broken. It was very stuffy. I spoke to the front desk. Her initial response was “I don’t understand. That room is rentable.” (?) She said her husband would be up in an hour after he finished fixing someone’s broken lock. Two hours later, no one had come. I asked again. At about 8:45 PM he finally showed, fidgeted with the unit, and admitted that it was not working and couldn’t be fixed that night. They did not have another room available. He said he would refund the price to us. I thanked him and I called Hotels.com to arrange the refund. After some back and forth, I come to find out that what he meant was he would refund our money if we left the hotel immediately. Unbelievable. I went down to the front desk and got into an argument where it became clear that he saw himself as the victim. He said how unfair it was of me to “expect” to stay for free, which was never my idea. After much arguing, he finally said he’d give me a small bit off the room. Hotels.com confirmed the discount. The next morning, the front desk denied it again, but gave in after more arguing. To top it off, room 2 had a smoke detector fail into middle of the night, but I’ve reached the character limit on this review. Do not stay here.

Very nice property. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that there were so much noise from the room above us. It's the first hotel I've been and that had built in bathtub caddies!
