"When we arrived for check-in the guest in front of us was having terrible trouble trying to settle his bill, as the employee on the desk could not add up his parking and tax charges for his stay. she clicked on a calculator for 20 minutes, before she agreed with what he had been telling her all along even though she wanted to charge him more than what was owed. when we got to her after his account was settled which was around 25 minutes she didn’t even apologise for the delay or welcome us to the hotel or even say hello, she just said, “name on reservation?” Honestly not the welcome we expected, but thankfully did not reflect the rest of our stay as it was excellent and would happily stay in the hotel again. Roof top pool was also a nice escape from exploring Parma and refreshing when the temperatures were so high. "
"Great service, very nice size room, beautiful hotel, very well priced. Surrounding area is not what expected but very close walk to city center and convenient supermarket across the street. "
"Would recommend this hotel to stay in. It’s a great location easy to walk to centre of town and the train station. My room was modern and clean, breakfast had a good selection and friendly staff "
"This was a terrific option for Parma. Inexpensive, convenient to train, big and modern room, great staff, wonderful breakfast. I literally have no idea what others have complained about. We thought the area very safe and didn't get asked for money once, unlike in Bologna and Verona. An easy walk into town and right by the leaving point for food tours. Can't recommend it enough. "
"Property condition and room excellent. Feels new and fresh! Car a necessity. Service team mediocre, many not speaking English at all. Staff frequently indifferent and somewhat impolite to guests including me, by both US and European standards. Perhaps no such interaction training. (I stayed 5 nights.)"
"A wonderful little hotel between Parma and Reggio Emilia. A lot of character, very nice rooms, and wonderful staff. Morena, in particular, was very helpful answering all of our questions and being patient with my mediocre Italian. Will definitely stay at Hotel Tricolore again when in the area."
