Great view and spacious
A lovely traditional apartment with a very large spacious living room with a lovely outside seating area with table and chairs. Air con worked efficiently, great to have a washing machine, bed comfortable and again another balcony view. There are a lot of stairs up to apartment although we saw that as a positive way to do some exercise each day. Guiseppe was very communicative when we had questions. The beach is about 15 minutes away along the corniche surrounded by mountains so very pretty although a shame the beach and corniche were all a bit untidy. Accept that the end of the season so maybe tidier earlier in the year. A sheet with some instructions on about where everything is located or maybe a map showing supermarkets, bakery etc., and instructions with how things like the aircon worked etc., would be great. You can get from Palermo airport to Sferracavello by train and it’s only a ten minute walk to the apartment. We used the train quite a bit and have to say they are super efficient. Once you buy your ticket you must validate in the little green box next to the machine or around on the wall, Overall a very nice comfortable stay.

Great location in Sferracavallo
Apartment is central location and everything us literally around the corner. Supermarket for food and very good choice of places to eat. Apartment description and photos pretty much accurate. Didnt try public transport as we had a car so went to nearby beaches 10 min away. Mondello beach 20 min away. Airport 20min also. Giuseppe helped with different places to visit and other activities. Apartment is on 3rd floor so we are all fitter and better for the climb. Only recommendation is a wider door for the shower. I've 34in waist and a tight squeeze to get into it. As expected seafood and pasta in local places. One chicken cafe which was also great. If u have a car and dont want to stay in Palermo thoroughly recommend here. I'd even say stay outside Palermo. Take full insurance with the car. Local public beaches not sandy so where shoes u can go in the water with. Overall great 2 weeks. In general sicily not the cleanest of places . both local council and locals need to improve this as it doesnt give a great impression despite how much we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful view
Everything was top notch the view, location and ease of communication with the property owner. Any issue we had which were not many were dealt with immediately and without issue. If you are not fit or older this place may not be for you due to the steep stairs and there are lots. If you are ok with that this is the place is for you because it is spectacular. Would stay here again without question.

The property is excellent for holiday makers - clean, spacious and about 20 m from the beach. Apart from the three rooms and the kitchen there are also 2 balconies with view to the small harbour (The pictures with the view of the beach on the website are more than real). Also Sferracavallo is quite close to Palermo - you can get there for 1.70 euros within 30 min.

Lovely getaway
Access was straight froward. The property has 50 steps up to apartment. The stairs are narrow towards the top, but very accesable. Spiral staircase in property was narrow, and me/husband ended.up using sofa bed in living room, which was fine and very comfortable. Second bedroom more for child as low roof. Apartment was well enough equipped, and socal small shops, bigger Lidl supermarket about 4km away. Lots of Local seafood restaurants, and local train was very andy to access Palermo etc and a short 10min walk to it. Bus times were not what were advertised and we ended up evoking back from Morello at night as bus never turned up. Over all lovely introduction to Sicily.

Spectacular view.
Spectacular view. There are more than 50 steps to reach the property, and anybody over about 6' might bang their head. The internal spiral staircase to the bedroom(s) is quite tight. It's difficult to shift luggage up and down. We actually moved downstairs during our stay, and the sofabed in the living room was extremely easy to convert to a bed and back. The kitchen and bathroom could be newer, but they were sufficient. But, mainly, the view was spectacular over the harbour. That will be the main thing we remember. There's a small beach nearby which served us just fine for swimming. At night, the whole seafront lights up with reasonably priced seafood restaurants. Particularly good if you're into shellfish.

Fantastic view
We arrived late evening due to a 1hr delayed flight, and were shown in by the delightful Laura, and her partner who very kindly carried up our suitcase. Many thanks to both of them, as Guiseppe was out of town. We woke to the most amazing, spectacular view of the harbour and village, and the location was wonderful, with lots of restaurants, food shops, and a fabulous ice-cream parlour nearby. It was very easy to get the train or bus from there to Palermo, Isola de Femmine, Mondella and the airport. The 50 marble steps up to the property were no problem at all, but the dozen wooden stairs up to the bedrooms were horrid. So narrow and creaky, and as you needed to hold on, it was difficult to carry anything up or down. We had poor, cold water flow and an awful gas smell on the first day, but this was fixed 24 hours after our arrival. The appartment was adequately equipped, but the shower unit was the narrowest I’ve ever used, and the appartment was quite tired, with a rocky toilet, ill-fitting sink plug etc, and could really do with some TLC. A spoke fell out of the terrace parasol the first time we tried to put it up, so we didn’t try that again, and the blind in the second bedroom - single bed - stuck and wouldn’t close. It wouldn’t take too much to make the appartment a much nicer place to holiday in.

Fishing village winter vacation
The property was as advertised. It contained all the essentials needed for our two week stay. Giuseppe was available to let us in upon arrival and helped with our luggage up the three flights of narrow stairs. He was helpful with any questions we had and made useful suggestions. The property is close to several good restaurants and local vendors selling locally produced fruits and vegetables plus bakeshops, meat and fresh fish shops. Navigating the bus and train service to Palermo and beyond was easily managed. Even without speaking Italian or Sicilian the locals made us feel welcome in their shops and eateries. I would definitely recommend this property and location if you are interested in being in a fishing village setting. The balconies allowed us to sit out and watch the mornings fishing activities while the retirees met to talk and play cards a few metres away from us. Our days were sunny with highs of 17 to 19 C. This was the end of January and into February. A special thank you Giuseppe for driving us to the airport when we left. Greatly appreciated.

A beautiful find
We arrived at Palermo airport at 1030pm. Giuseppe had emailed us to text him when we left the airport. Taxi ride was a bit more than the reviews had said but it was late and we had no other way of getting to Sferracavallo. We arrived at the property and the night life was pretty busy. Giuseppe was there to meet us and helped with our bags. Be aware, this is not a property for the elderly, families with small children or the large framed. We climbed the 3 flights of stairs to enter a charming apartment with a spacious living area, adequately stocked kitchen and shower room with a washing machine. The air con was switched on and it was beautiful until Giuseppe opened the balcony doors. Then it was amazing. A balcony overlooking the marina with sun loungers, bar b q and table and chairs. As it was dark, the view was limited. We then climbed the spiral staircase to our double room with loads of storage space. There is also a single room which we used as a dressing room. Air con again in the bedrooms and another amazing balcony completed the picture. When we woke the next morning, the view was incredible. There a local shops, a bus service which is a bit confusing and two local railway stations. Be careful though. We bought tickets at Palermo station (while on a day trip) from Sferracavallo back to the airport on our last day but the train didn’t exist so we had to walk to Tommaso Natale station about 10 minutes away. We found some lovely local bars and even one of the locals gave us a lift to the station (although it turned out to be the wrong one) 😀 We also visited Mondello a couple of times and took a boat out for half a day. Anyway, our entire stay was absolutely perfect. Sferracavallo is a pretty little fishing port with plenty of places to eat and drink but not too commercialised. The apartment was stunning and Guiseppe was always at the end of the phone. Perfect. Thankyou

Bring your oxygen tank and disinfectant
We were met by the owner's 'friend' Martin, and although he helped us carry our luggage up the 4 flights of narrow and steep stairs, was quite rude and abrupt when we finally figured out who he was. The only good thing about the apartment is the view from the terrace. If you're able to make it up the narrow, steep, 4 flights of stairs and then manage to unlock the trick door you walk into an unpleasant smell. The knobs on the stove were sticky and the refrigerator had a rank odor. There were dead bugs on the walls and the neighborhood was very sketchy. Getting up to the bedrooms was another adventure. They were at the top of an extremely narrow spiral staircase. Don't even try to carry your bags up there! We were so turned off by the apartment and the area, we left and checked into a beautiful hotel. Very disappointing way to end our trip, especially since the first 3 places we stayed at were true to their descriptions, reviews and pictures.

A lovely small apartment, perfect for two people.active people
We spent the first week of June in this lovely, clean and functional rooftop apartment. The balcony views are just as in the photo's and are added to with the constant hustle and bustle of this busy little fishing port. It great during the day to watch the fishermen, cars and scooters whizzing by. Sicily is a noisy place but here it is quiet at night. Guiseppe was a very helpful host and if you get a problem he texts straight back (you need to pull the flat door toward you to get the lock to work !) OK, there a three flights of stairs ( 50 steps) and a bit narrow, but I had no problems despite dodgy knees and the view makes up for it and trust me you would not want to be in a ground floor apartment here. The spiral stair to the bedroom and single box room is OK too ( the box room does not have aircon so could do with an electric fan) with a single bed, probably best for a youngster though. You can park easily , the WiFi is fine as is the aircon in the lounge and bedroom and there is everything in the town that you need from little supermarkets, butchers, fishmongers etc. and while the kitchen lacks a few utensils it is fine for preparing a meal. However, there must be around twenty restaurants which are such good value you may not want to bother and just have a few aperitifs on the terrace, watch the great sunsets before a couple of minute walk to the centre. It was wonderfully relaxing.

beautiful location, but beware the access...
This beautiful apartment overlooks the small working harbour that is the gem about 20 minutes from central Palermo. Be warned, this is not for those seeking a typical beach holiday. We both love speaking Italian and are ardent seafood buffs...so we bought giant prawns and calamari and cooked outstanding meals for 10 Euros. We then hit the gelateria for a stunning ice cream. If you like to wake up to the sound of little fishing boats pop-pop-popping across the bay then this could be for you. Perfectly functional, clean and with a warm welcome, this place has stunning sea views from the lounge and from the main bedroom above. There is a caveat, however. The access is up 3 flights of tight stairs and then by a spiral staircase to the main bedroom. It just got a bit much (though we were fitter after a week) and at times we could not be bothered to pop to a shop. Seriously, this is a place for 2 fit adults who are not built like prop forwards. You have 17" to get upstairs to bed...or downstairs in the night! So, not for young children or those less mobile... but a cracking place for an agile couple. Highlights: great people but do try some Italian, wonderful overnight seafood stalls popping up everywhere, a super bakery, lovely local wine for 3 Euros, ice cream to drool for and a colourful city nearby. Day tickets by bus cost 3.50 (the 628) and are bought at the tobacconist. Buses also run to the airport (6 E) and the Greek temple of Segesta (about 45 minutes away) Swimming: possible with care in the bay or better at Mondello 5 miles away Access: you have been warned Food: seafood heaven Overall: we were delighted but the access drags 5 stars down to 4.

Great apartment, great vista
Giuseppe was there to meet me at the start of my visit and he was very good about answering any phone calls or queries. There is a limited internet provision which he tried very hard to help us with, but everything else was just perfect. Great view over the harbour, with a fabulous small beach and swimming just across the road. Great little kitchen, lovely terrace, comfortable beds and useful bathroom with washing machine. I absolutely loved my stay in this little fishing village and I would go back again and definitely go back to this apartment again.

Amazing seaview!!! Bellissima vista mare!
We have enjoyed beautifull sea view from terrace, living room and also bedroom and wonderfull days on perfect sandy beach Mondello which we reached by bus. The small town is only few minutes by walk from apartment and we liked it very much, restaurants, bars and also veeery kind people everywhere.

Die Wohnung liegt zentral direkt an der Bucht von Sferracavallo, ist gut ausgestattet und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Anreise vom Flughafen Punta Raisi ist mit der Bahn problemlos möglich. Einkäufe können gut zu Fuß erledigt werden. Der Ausblick vom Balkon geht über die ganze Bucht mit einer Reihe von Villen, einem Schwimmbad, einem kleinen Hafen und einer Surfschule. Der Vermieter war sehr nett und immer für uns erreichbar.

Perfekte Lage
Sehr schön! Von der wunderbaren Terrasse ist das Meer fantastisch zu sehen. Schöne Wohnung, sportlich sollte man sein, aber das steht das in der Beschreibung. Und, wenn man nicht will, braucht man gar kein Auto: ca.8 min zu Fuß ist der Bahnhof zu erreichen, in 20 min ist man entweder am Flughafen oder im Zentrum Palermos. Komme gerne wieder!

We realy enjoy our stay in Guiseppe appartement. The appartement have two very nice terrace with direct view on Sferracavallo port. Access to Palermo is very easy by train.

Our family of 5 had a lovely stay in Guiseppe's apartment in Sferracavallo - We were however a bit disappointed when we discovered that the small bay below the apartment had been blocked off so that it could not be used for swimming - hopefully it is only temporary, otherwise the apartment, in our opinion, will lose some of its value. the apartment is nice and bright, but the kitchen could use a little freshening up. Overall, we had a lovely stay in the apartment - many thanks to Guiseppe

Ottima soluzione
Casa con ottima posizione, vicina all'aeroporto, all'autostrada e alla città. Vista stupenda, locale soggiorno ampio, angolo pranzo e cucina comoda. Abbiamo sfruttato poco la terrazza a causa della stagione ma d'estate immagino sia molto bella. Camere piccole ma pulite e con armadio sufficienti. Scala lunga e stretta ma il panorama dell'appartamento la rende sopportabile. Siamo contenti di aver scelto qs soluzione, Giuseppe e stato gentile all'arrivo e pronto quando un acquazzone ha creato un piccolo problema. Consigliato
