Elegant & Minimalistic Bungalow at Ocotillo Lodge

Relax in the comfort of your private bungalow, complete with mountain views, a private patio, modern and elegant decor, and all of the conveniences of the famed Ocotillo Lodge community. The complex was built in 1957, and is considered a major work by architect William Krisel. This midcentury bungalow was fully restored and reimagined in 2021 by the Scandinavian owners, a minimalist architect and textile designer, to suit their aesthetic philosophy and lifestyle.

The light and mountain views from the south-facing unit are wonderful, and the large glass wall separating the living space from the patio accentuates the indoor-outdoor connection. The interiors and furnishings provide a calming, elegant space for enjoying the desert views and light. The finish palette is limited to polished concrete floors, white walls, and stainless steel details. Roller blinds provide full privacy and shading.

PARKING:
There is ample private parking just east of the unit (no designated spots). Parking is limited to one car per bedroom.

This unit is part of an HOA community and we cannot guarantee the community amenities availability and operation during your stay.

Any fines, citations or penalties imposed against us for actions triggering a violation of the City of Palm Springs will be deducted from the security deposit. Such examples can be found in our House Rules.

In the City of Palm Springs, Occupant must be at least 25 years of age or older. By continuing with this reservation, Occupant represents that they are older than 25 years of age and further warrants that other occupants are either over the age of 25, or are accompanied by an adult guardian.

NOISE: Palm Springs has strict ordinances that govern vacation rentals. In particular, we want you to note that "NO outside music is allowed at vacation rental homes." I know, we all love our tunes out by the pool, but it's just not allowed by law. Music may not be heard at the property lines at any time of the day (that includes music coming from inside the home). Please abide by this rule so you don't get fined by the police, and so we don't lose our vacation rental permit.

OCOTILLO LODGE COMMUNITY RULES:
NOISE: Please note that this is a residential community, and be courteous when entering and exiting the building. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am, and sound carries through our courtyard style complex. To avoid noise violations being charged to your group, please keep your guests inside of the condo during the quiet hours. Keeping the windows and doors closed helps tremendously.

TRASH: If you need to take the trash out during your stay, the community trash bins are located on the west (mountain) side of the clubhouse.

POOL: The pool is in the central courtyard, and has posted hours of operation. Please comply with all pool rules, do not use the pool after the posted hours, and be courteous of neighbors in regards to noise level while you swim/sun. No glass is allowed at the pool.

PARKING: Parking is not assigned. Feel free to park at the gate closest to your condo.

SMOKING: All smoking, vaping, and use of e-cigarettes is prohibited in all Common Areas and Exclusive Use Common Areas in the Community (including but not limited to shared and exclusive use patios, pool, spa, Sunshine Bar, all walkway, parking lot surrounding the complex, etc.). “Smoking” includes, but is not limited to, any practice by which any substance (such as tobacco or cannabis) is burned for the purpose of inhaling its smoke. “Vaping” includes, but is not limited to, inhaling vaporized water, solvents, or other liquids to inhale tobacco, cannabis, or any other substance. “E-cigarette” includes, but is not limited to, any electronic device that vaporizes liquid nicotine, cannabis, or any other substance for inhalation. Any other smoking or similar activity which causes a nuisance or disrupts the quiet enjoyment of other Members or Occupants is also prohibited.

The TOT Tax is included in your accommodation rate.

This is a private property and the host reserves the right to access the property at any time to perform maintenance repairs necessary or requested by the renter.
Absolutely NO PARTIES or LOUD MUSIC.
Absolutely NO SMOKING or VAPING inside or outside the unit.
NO ANIMALS OR PETS of any kind are permitted at the Property except (1) as specifically authorized in your reservation, or (2) bona fide service animals that we are required by law to allow. Emotional support animals are not permitted except as authorized pets. You agree that a prohibition on animals is not a guarantee that an animal has not been inside the Property or that the Property is free of animal or pet allergens. If pets were to be brought without our consent and knowledge, guests will have to pay twice the pet fee or will have their reservation cancelled immediately.
Amenity limitations — The cold water can run warm in the daytime during hot weather. Water-conserving toilet, may require multiple flushes at times.
Potential for noise — The concrete block party wall behind the bed is not acoustically insulated, i.e. when laying in bed guests may be able to hear talking/music from the adjacent unit. ATTENTION: The whole Ocotillo Lodge community is under going renovations until Spring 2023.
Some spaces are shared — This unit is part of an HOA community, and you will have access to the community amenities.
Security camera/recording device — Our properties may have outdoor security cameras aimed on the exterior of the home, doorbell camera and/or an alarm system for the safety of the house and its occupants. Non-recording audio monitoring devices (NoiseAware) might be installed onsite to warn us of excessive noise and avoid complaints.

*PLEASE READ *
Due to new stricter regulations in Palm Springs, now every guest who books a Vacation Rental in the city is required to receive the Good Neighbor Brochure and also have all guests in the party fill out and sign the Statement of Rules BEFORE having access to the property. In addition to that, we need a list of all guests' vehicles, including license plate numbers and also a copy of your Government ID. As the person booking this property, you are the main point of contact and person responsible for ensuring your guests comply with the house rules and City rules. Please be advised that the City will fine renters in $500 per occurrence without notice if they fail to comply with the local ordinance. The main sources of violations are:
An excessive and unaccounted number of guests onsite
An excessive number of cars
Loud outdoor music (and this includes playing music from inside the home so you can hear it outside)
Trash left outside and on sight

Please send us the FIRST and LAST NAMES and EMAILS from every adult staying at the house. They will all receive and sign the documents digitally using DocuSign.
Only registered guests as listed on the rental agreement should be on the premises. No additional guests or visitors allowed. *The current emergency orders in place supersede information in the Good Neighbor Brochure and the Rental Certificate regarding daytime guests. The Statement MUST be returned to us as soon as possible. Just please be aware that we are NOT allowed to give anybody access to the home until we receive the statement with ALL signatures and the copy of your ID. We apologize for any inconvenience, however, the City of Palm Springs is not treating this lightly and everyone has to obey and adapt to the new scenario.

Lovely stay in Palm Springs

Wonderful Palm Springs Unit
This unit was fantastic. It was a perfect size for two people and the minimalist decor really appealed to us. The property is very well located with a gorgeous pool. The property managers were a pleasure to deal with throughout the booking and stay process. The fridge is very small but otherwise great amenities. We would definitely stay again.

Bright Sunny Stay
Really love the Ocotillo! The condo was clean and the kitchen well stocked with utensils for our cooking needs. The pool unexpectedly closed for a week and one of the hot tubs was out of commission for over a week. However, the owner graciously gave us a steep discount when our flight was canceled due to weather and we had to stay an extra couple of days.

We loved this unit - crisp, modern white interior highlights the mountain views but was still so comfortable. We spent as much time as possible at the pool, which is huge and has beautiful views of the mountains, especially at sunset. Air Concierge went above and beyond. They asked how everything was and if we needed anything. When I suggested a pool noodle would have been a nice addition, someone brought inflatable floaties plus an electric inflater to our door! Thank you, would love to stay again.
