"We loved the grounds, so peaceful and lush. Huge variety of birds, howler monkeys in the distance each morning, incredibly kind, helpful and friendly staff. Delicious food, beverages and the best swimming pool ever!"

"The villas are fantastic and staff was so nice and offered great service. The view of birds and other wildlife was nice. One of the staff took us where we needed to go a stayed right with us which was great since the villas are rather remote. They store modern with private pools in each. I will definitely go back."

"I have been traveling for pleasure and for work throughout my life. I have been using hotels.com for on average 50+ hotel nights per year last 10 years. And finally, I felt I should leave a very positive review. Canavida Villas & Resort is the first booking where the everything exceeded the expectations. Top Location, service, communication, quality of stay, THE VIEW, the staff, the people, the pool, THE GRILL, the nature... I don't know where to start or to end. Basically images are in most hotel presentations showing a refined view of reality, in this case the nice photos of the property did not reflect the reality, IT WAS EVEN BETTER IRL! If you want to have a weekend or a week at one of the best locations in CR, then you just found it. Yes, it is on a hill = there is a challenging climb with your car, but you can get there with a 2 wheel drive. Uvita as location is also very nice, but why bother to go there except for grocery shopping, this resort is a paradise you don't want to leave!"

"Beautiful setting"

"Room was comfortable. No view from room. Pretty area with gardens around walkways. Not a lot of outside seating areas. Most rooms are a walk uphill a ways. Not many have close parking. Trails uphill behind resort. 4x4 drive to upper parking was in good shape and looked good enough for 2 wheel when dry. Dining was fine, with good service. Trout was good, though I think it was better for lunch up the road at the next cafe. Bar area has seating and fire. Happy hour 3-5. The resort seems to do a lot of large bus groups. Dining room was full with 4 tables of 10-15 people and just a handful of couples at other tables."

"We loved everything about Santa Juana Lodge: Alan was a terrific host, the drive up was awesome, the room and view was fantastic. We went to the waterfall and did a few other hikes around, highly recommend! Nikki & Henry"

"Exceeded ALL our expectations and more! This property was perfect for ourselves and 3 grown children and their spouses with 4 bedrooms.. all with king beds and en-suites so no one felt like got a lesser room and two extra half baths in good locations. Beautiful pool area with overview of the ocean— hearing waves at night was so magical.Alejandro gave us several great recommendations such as chef Rosbin who came three days, massages that came to the house. Activities such as paragliding which was definitely a hi light. It was a great week of family time and the house is set up so comfortably and evening activities with a pool table and foosball were used. We hope to return sooner rather than later. "
