"Beautiful scenic beach house, easy access to the beach. Newly built, quite clean, but there were a dozen huge annoying flies buzzing around the living room when we arrived. Also the second bedroom was locked from the inside with no way of unlocking it without a key, which we didn't have. Otherwise, the place was perfect, nicely decorated and designed. The motion sensor lights were a great feature, as well as the huge picture window."

"We had a lovely, relaxing 3 nights in Parapara beach. The bach is right on the beach with stunning views all the way to Farewell Spit. It was dog friendly and we met lots of nice people on the beach with their dogs!"

"Great location and good size central living areas for larger groups. The downstairs sleeping area is cold and quite damp, if staying in winter I would take an extra electric heater. Lots of leisure gear available for use which is great (kayaks, body boards, cricket gear, fishing gear). "

"The house was lovely. Very well equipped kitchen, good layout and perfect for our family. There were plenty of board games and DVDs to relax with after a full day at the beach. The beach is just a short walk away and is stunning at high and low tide. Perfect location for Farewell Spit, Wharariki beach and all the beaches along Golden Bay. My highlight was watching the piwakawaka, quails and tūī in the garden every evening. "
