"A magical spot in a quiet garden with charming François to make sure all was well. Great location in stunning town filled with history. Very good baker nearby and a small independent cinema just up the road. "

Bref tout s'est très bien passé. 4 recommandations cependant : laisser des documentations sur le fonctionnement de l'électro-ménager, restaurer certaines salles de bain, changer le piano de cuisson et vérifier le soin accordé au ménage."

"Great location. One street back from village centre. Spacious and well equipped townhouse with separate bedroom and bathroom in rear garden. Well serviced by under floor heating and an open fire if you’re staying in winter however we stayed during hot weather. Master bedroom is upstairs so it was very hot for sleeping. Advertised as having air conditioning but the portable unit provided in the middle of the bedroom expelled hot air from its rear which made the room hotter rather than cooler."

"Our 2-week stay in this home was truly fabulous in every way. The home is large, spacious, and gorgeously appointed. It is a visually pleasing blend of historic wood and stone; the funiture is harmonious and comfortable; and there is every modern convenience. There is cozy loft sitting space on the second floor that gives the house special beauty and charm, and the outdoor back porch/eating area is breathtaking. "On a passé une semaine de Noël très agréable dans la gîte à Sermizelles. Il s'agit d'un grand ancien bâtiment de ferme avec jardin et salle de jeux. Parfait pour notre réunion familiale: les propriétaires ont même décoré la maison pour les fêtes!"

"The house was perfect for a large group, we ate most of our meals in the outdoor area which was sheltered from the sun and we could watch the kids in the pool. The house was well equipped and clean. It was great having the outdoor cooking area which had a fridge and dishwasher. There isn’t anything in the village but activities are close by so it’s not a problem. I would recommend for large groups."

"We were informed that we could not arrive before 4pm on Saturday as the property would be cleaned and prepared before this time. On arrival it was obvious that this was not the case. The entrance gate had rubbish bins overflowing with trash in 40 degrees heat. The front garden was overgrown with weeds. The back garden was full of stinging nettles and the lawn overgrown. On Sunday morning the owner arrived and mowed the lawn and cut the nettles back at 9am. The hot tub had flooded the room...

"We had a wonderful stay at the 17th century mansion. It is obvious that a lot of love and time has been spent on the renovation. The house had numerous rooms for relaxing and a very large, well equipped kitchen. Some rooms were harder to heat, but most were very comfortable. There was a little mix up prior to check in regarding a security deposit needed at time of arrival, but we reached an agreement. The house was very convenient and there was parking very near by."

We had dinner our first night and were disappointed with the limited menu and they seems to be short staff. We think because no place in Chablis is open on Sunday night, everyone in town was eating at the hotel. We didn’t have the breakfast, but it looked fabulous. That said, we did have a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again. "

"We were very happy with the offering at this hotel, we were able to secure a room for Friday night on short notice. The staff were very friendly and we experienced the most efficient check in of any hotel. Very quick, no wasted effort, and a friendly exchange with the counter staff. After a change of shift overnight, the staff continued to be friendly and engaging with the customers. The room is as advertised, everything is comfortable and clean. Very acceptable level of quality, it is not fancy or boutique yet it is a very high value offering for the price point. We had the breakfast, that was as advertised with a good variety on offer, much more than a simple continental breakfast. I would return here again anytime. "

"We wanted for nothing in this property, everything was provided. It was in a huge, secluded garden, but the property was separate, and a long way from the main house, so we didn't feel enclosed in any way. We sat/ate outside a lot of the time, and felt that we were a long way from the main house. Samur-en-Auxois was everything we thought it was, and François Meunieur was extremely helpful. 10/10!"
