"L'Abete is a lovely, quiet place. Manager Marco was superb, really a fine, nice person who make me feel welcome and who wanted to be as helpful as he could. I was without a car, and L'Abete is a quarter to a half mile away from the nearest good restaurants and sites. But it was a nice stay; and even better if you want some quiet rest time!"

"Room was uncomfortably hot. Air con terminal stopped pumping out cold air about 3am and the room became unbearably hot. There was nobody to be found in the hotel and my family of four had to stand outside multiple times in the dark to get some air. We managed to get the kids back to sleep after several hours by placing wet towels on their back. We wanted to complain at check out but there was still nobody to be seen!! A single person who was in the restaurant just told us to leave our key at the...

"A wonderful property and experience. The room was impeccable in all ways: clean, comfortable, and well-designed. The host, Rosa and her husband, were affable and treated us as friends. The village is small and quiet, and close to important archeological sites. As charming as this property is, when the murals in the courtyard are finished, it will be even more enthralling. We had a delicious dinner in a cozy dining room. Definitely recommend. Also, great for families. "

"I enjoyed staying in the small village. The locals were lovely, friendly and kind. The management of the hotel were excellent - very warm and kind. The local bakeshop, where we had coffee every morning - Shardana - was also excellent. The owners were very hands-on and invited me to dinner to meet some of their friends. You don't get this in large hotels."

"One night stop over on a whistle-stop tour around Sardinia for seven days. Lovely, well kept, tranquil hotel in a very quiet spot in the village. "The whole place seemed to be run by one person, a lady who could not speak a word of English. She was nice and all smiles, but ran the hotel rather unprofessionally. She was not to be found in the original reception, but had set up some sort of reception in the restaurant so she could cover the restaurant as well. At checkout, we had to show her a printout of our booking to get the quoted price. Many things were broken in our room. The refrigerator, the shower head mount, the soap dispenser....

"Great rooms. The restaurant was one of the best we had visited and so was the wine selection. The surrounding area included a supermarket, pharmacy, park etc. and all were less than a 5 minute walk."

"It was awesome. They give you keys to let yourself in when the reception closes at 11 pm. The breakfast is always great with that Illy coffee machine. Great value. It’s also within walking distance to the center."
