"Super friendly and helpful staff. A one block walk to the pools, dining etc made it very convenient. The included breakfast at the rooftop restaurant nearby was exactly the way to start your day!"

"What an awesome stay! The place is nestled in the mountains a few km above Sao Vicente. You’ll need wheels! It is a typical village surrounded by locals - not a tourist in site. The perfect getaway! The property itself was great. Obviously lived in, so you’re in somebody’s actual house rather than a faceless rental. Everything you need is there to cook, clean and sleep soundly. "Great place to watch the sunset from a shared deck while having dinner. Double check if the jacuzzi is in working condition, it was off due to covid measures during my stay. wifi was not available as described, however there was signal for vodafone data. The host sends you GPS coordinates to find the location in a welcome message. If you are driving uphill to reach what looks like a shed at the GPS cooridnates, walk back downhill a few meters to find stairs going down towards the house."

"Villa Cabouco was a great base for our extended family holiday. We had space for myself and my partner, our two little boys (0 + 3), my mother and sister as well as my parents in law. The kitchen was a great space for evening dining and the pool was lovely after a day out in the hills. "Andrei's apartment is great for one person or a couple. It has an incredible view and the location is perfect. It was only a few-minute walk to the waterfront and from there you can go in either direction. Swimming, eating, and groceries, all were within walking distance. The apartment itself has the amenities necessary to make small meals and a fridge to keep things cold. I would stay there again without hesitation. "

"All of pools were quite cold-- I was sold on this property because it said it had a hot tub. The hot tub was located in the spa area and only accessible for an extra $35/day. "We had a pool suite for a family of 4, and the room was enormous and so luxurious. The bed was very comfortable, and my children said that the sofa bed was too. We absolutely loved the pool on the balcony. Breakfast was very busy, and an amazing number of guests somehow manage to drop food on the floor. The staff were quick to clean it up and replenish the food. We had buffet dinner once and that was really nice. There was a good selection of food that was constantly topped up. The pools were excellent, but it was slightly annoying that other guests hogged the sunbeds by placing towels on them early in the day but didn't go there until later. "

"After nearly a week of hiking in Madeira, I booked a stay at the Allegra as a treat to unwind and relax and it did not disappoint. The hotel is kept in impeccable condition, the staff are INCREDIBLY kind and helpful, breakfast was outstanding and the pool is beautiful. It is a little out of the way from the action in Funchal so I wouldn’t have wanted to stay the entire time here but if you’re looking for a place to get away and relax, this is for you. "
