Rustic home in a picturesque setting
We really enjoyed our 3-night stay at La Casa de El Mazo. The historic home is perfectly situated between the mountains and the sea and a short walk down to the river Deva, where we enjoyed a refreshing swim. We spent one day enjoying the sun and waves at the beach outside San Vicente, and the next hiking the Senderismo a Tresviso, a tough 3-hour climb up to the town of Tresviso that starts about a 20 minute drive from the house. While at the house, we spent most of our time on the patio, grilling on the bbq and enjoying the view of the fields and mountains, and chatting with the locals as they passed by. They only cons are the proximity to a busy road and it's noise, the beds are not the most comfortable, but fine a few nights, and there's no wifi, which didn't pose a problem for us because we kept ourselves quite busy and there was plenty of information about the area provided at the house. The cons were more than made up for by the excellent location, beautiful views, and authentic Asturian feel of the house. Also accommodated our dog perfectly.

Leuk ouderwetse vakantiewoning. Opgetrokken in de Spaanse bouwstijl met houten balkon. 's Avonds kan je er heerlijk buiten zitten met mooi uitzicht. Bij de beschrijving staat gedeelde wasmachine. Dit hield in dat op dinsdag de was voor ons gedaan werd. Verder konden we niet wassen. Ook stond bij de beschrijving dat er internet was. Dit ontbrak echter. Eigenaar wel vriendelijk.

Great view!
A very pretty house full of character and very nicely decorated. Large bedrooms and bathrooms. Beautiful location with a short walk to the river bank which was lovely. We enjoyed our stay.

Una incursión asturiana con mucha tranquilidad. Zona rural a pocos kilómetros de la costa
Ha sido agradable pasar un par de días con buen tiempo en esta casa. Si buscas tranquilidad es una opción adecuada. La casa está arreglada respetando tanto en sus elementos arquitectónicos como en su decoración, la tradicional casa de campo de la zona, lo que resulta interesante. Tiene una pequeña terraza desde la que disfrutar de unas buenas vistas al valle y las montañas. La experiencia ha sido positiva

très bonne
La description correspond bien à l'annonce. Location de caractère (maison du XVIII ème siècle) propre et entretenue, draps et serviette fournis, le propriétaire est venu en milieu de séjour les changer. Il s'est à cette occasion aussi chargé de notre propre linge qu'il nous a ramené le soir propre et sec ! Maison cependant un peu humide, d'autre part des oiseaux étaient nichés sous les combles. Cependant ceci n'a été pour nous qu'un détail. Il a été largement oublié grâce à la disponibilité et à la gentillesse de José Brime ( il comprend et parle un peu français). La région est très agréable : magnifiques plages, bras de mer, montagnes enneigées visibles.... les pieds dans l'océan ! Multiples activités possibles donc, liés à la mer et à la montagne , (dont canoë, canyoning, rafting....). Le tout dans un rayon de 20 km.

Superbe maison pour découvrir Asturies/Cantabrie
Cette maison est très agréable, avec son charme rustique et une position idéale pour partir à la découverte des Asturies et de la Cantabrie. La maison était impeccable, avec une très bonne literie. Située à la frontière des deux régions, à proximité de la mer mais entourée des montagnes elle est parfaite pour ceux qui souhaitent une séjour à la fois montagne et mer. José le propriétaire est charmant et a été de très bons conseils pour nous indiquez les merveilles de la région et nous conseiller des adresses pour se régaler. Vue sur les pics d'Europe depuis la maison, très agréable de puis la terrase. Le son des cloches des vaches qui broutent alentour ajoute une note champêtre que les enfants ont beaucoup apprécié. La rivière est toute proche pour ceux qui apprécient les activités nautiques (descente en cayak de la Deva, pêche) et pour la promenade. Nous avons passez une très belle semaine; trop courte, Il nous faudra revenir! This house is very nice, with its rustic charm and an ideal position for exploring Asturias and Cantabria. The house was immaculate, with a very good bedding. Located at the border of the two regions , close to the sea but surrounded by mountains it is perfect for those who want a stay both mountain and sea. Jose the owner is charming and was very good advice to tell us the wonders in the region and advise us of the addresses to enjoy good meal . Very nice view of the Europea Picos from the house and the terrace . The sound of cowbells that graze around adds a rustic notes that children have enjoyed . The river is nearby for those who enjoy water sports ( downhill cayak of Deva , fishing) and the promenade. We spend a great week ; too short, We will need to come back!

Entre la mer et la montagne
Nous étions 4 et nous avons passé une excellente semaine. La région est très belle et comme le titre l'indique, nous avons pu profiter de la montagne et de la mer. Les lits sont confortables et les 2 salles de bains sont correctes. José est un propriétaire à l'écoute de ses locataires, soucieux d'améliorer le confort de ses hôtes. Il est aussi un très bon "conseiller" en matière de tourisme et maitrise assez bien le français. La présence de la Nationale peut être une gêne mais le bruit des voiture est très atténué par le double vitrage. La seule chose qui manque sans doute, est une machine à laver le linge. Je le signale car lorsque l'on va sur le site HOMELIDAYS en français, il est dit dans le descriptif qu'il y a "une machine à laver" or, il n'en est rien. Je recommanderai bien volontiers cette location.

"Nous avons beaucoup aimé...
"Nous avons beaucoup aimé cette maison (La Casa Chica) - une ancienne grange rénovée en maison d''habitation avec beaucoup de goût, d''esthétique, de sens pratique et de confort. Le tout résulte dans une location de charme et d''authenticité. Jose Brime, le propriétaire est charmant, sympathique et une source d''informations précieuses. Son accueil chaleureux et sa présence amicale dans le village était vraiment agréable. L''endroit est super - le village de Buelles est d''une tranquilité absolue, les vues du jardin (non attenant mais à dix pas de la porte) donnent envie de découvrir les monts et montagnes du coin. De très belles plages se situent à 10 minutes de la maison (pour les plus proches - mais il y en a plein à découvrir!). La côte est magnifique, avec des falaises découpées d''une beauté émerveillante et à couper le souffle. Nous sommes des gens qui avons beaucoup voyagé dans nos vies et dans notre passe - nous ne disons donc pas cela à la légère. Los Picos sont à 30-40 minutes et si vous ne connaissez pas ce massif montagneux - je vous recommande vivement de le découvrir. Nous adorons la montagne et je peux dire que Los Picos est pour moi un lieu montagneux que je compte revenir découvrir à maintes reprises! (J''adore les Alpes et les Alpes du Sud - Ubaye et le Queyras - les Ecrins etc.) Enfin voilà - que de belles choses à vous dire. Peut-être que je ne devrais pas vous dire tout cela et le garder comme beau secret pour moi!! Personnellement, je compte y retourner maintes fois (en saison et hors saison) et toujours à la Casa Chica car j''aime vraiment bien cette maison, son charme et le village dans lequel elle se situe, qui est très bien placé pour profiter pleinement de la mer et la montagne asturienne et cantabrienne. (Si nous avons mis un 4 pour l''équipement, c''est simplement pour la taille de la cuisine qui est toute petite (genre cuisine de studio). Cela ne nous a pas posé problème et nous avons cuisiné et mangé la majorité de nos repas dans la cuisine sans aucun souci ni stress etc - mais pour ceux qui aiment les grandes cuisines avec grands plans de travail - ce n''est pas pour vous! Bon séjour à vous tous! "
