"Contacted property manager and Vrbo the day before to enquire about accessing the property. Received no response. Called the owner at 9.15 on the day. He sounded confused but raised no issue, so I got on with my day. Received a text after 10.30 to say the property was not available! Apparently vrbo had not coordinated the availability. Host offered to book us into a local hotel…. Not ideal as we could have done that ourselves (and chosen a better hotel) but we had plans with friends and dinner...

"A lovely cottage in a great location. The village has a great community run pub and shop and has real character. The villagers are friendly and helpful - even in the most trying times! We had a disaster on check out day when there was a huge snowstorm overnight and our car got stuck on the way out of the village. "We had a lovely 2 night stay here, the house is beautifully finished with lots of space. The hot tub was a very welcome addition and we made good use of the living space. Ann was brilliant at providing all the information in advance. My only slight request would be to have some larger pans, cooking for 7 with a small frying pan was quite tricky!! On Friday night when we arrived, sat having drinks in the garden we were lucky enough to see a mother deer and her fawn skipping up the fields behind us.
