"The house phone in the room was in poor condition I couldn't carry on a conversation on it. An odd failing was that the privacy drapes on my 1st floor room could not be close. This not due to a hardware problem but rather by design. I just found it annoying but a woman might insist on a 2nd floor room. Only a gauzy curtain went across the picture window and allowed comple visibility into the room at ground level. I'll stay there again, much better than there competitors in the area."

"This place looks like it is still in the process of being renovated. Overall nice place room was clean and modern. Definitely doesn't have all the amenities as other hotels. But if you are just looking for a comfortable place to sleep for a day or two it is more than adequate. Prices are a lot more reasonable than other options. Was in town for a Penn State football game. 20 mins from the stadium. Would definitely stay here again if needed. "

"It was a good room but it might be becoming due for a reno. We have stayed here before and the staff was as friendly as they are always. No complaints about the people there just the hotel might be due for a reno."

"Classic old charm....and I mean lots and loads of charm. Decent free breakfast and on site dinning. In center of village so walking about is a must. We visited to view the stars at Cherry Springs which is 45 minutes away. The rooms are small compared to most hotels and our bed was a bit soft for me but just right for my partner. I will gladly take a smaller room just to stay at this hotel. The staff is soo friendly and helpful for directions and recommendations. Place gets a 10 ."
