"The apartment is a 7-8 minute walk to the Duomo. Close enough but doesn't get noisy at nights. There are small stores nearby. The two-room apartment is nicer than the online photos show. Apparently, his shift starts at 4 pm. I asked to be upgraded from a very old building to a new one. I had to pay extra for the upgrade. I got a room in the new building which was great. Location however is in a village about 30 km from Parma. I went to dinner in the village at a traditional restaurant which was excellent. I was the only tourist there. If you can deal with a very remote location, a closed reception until 4 pm, and if you get a room in the new building, then this is actually a 5 star experience."

"The Hotel Duomo is lovely. Just the right size and comfort level. And the location must be the best in the city! The cathedral is right outside the entrance - and there were plenty of restaurants to choose from within easy walking distance. It was also close to the Violin Museum which was the reason for our visit. The breakfast offerings were generous and delicious. We would stay again. "

"Really disturbed night of sleep, constantly bitten by mosquitoes and the rooms was so dusty, no window to get fresh air in. Im asthmatic so this played havoc wuth my breathing a total lack of sleep. They need to air these rooms out! Also no iron at hotel? Really"
