"This is a charming villa set in a hilly enclave just north of El Campello. We chose NOT to rent a car - so we stayed local (from Alicante to Villajoysa is easy/cheap to do by tram). The tram stop (and local wine/grocery merchant) is an easy 10 minute walk - take a backpack and its easy to do your shopping and be back at the villa. "We were a party of 10 with 2 families. The property is spacious and very well equipped. There was plenty room for all of us. The location is great for exploring, and really peaceful. We were slightly worried by reviews about the air con but found the whole house stayed cool with just one air con in the back kitchen and the shutters closed during the day and we just used bedroom air con in evenings for sleeping. "Excellent property - good location with walking distance to most amenities (supermarket, bars, cafes and restaurants) Especially loved the outside areas which are great - pool is excellent as is the bbq area and volleyball!"

"Had a great stay in the villa. Its situated in a quiet area which was great and the facilities were spot on, just as advertised (although the photos listed on the advertisment didnt do it justice). There were a couple of areas of maintainace that require sorting such as a loose door handle in tbe familly bedroom and a leaky air con unit in the living room but overall the villa is a very pleasent place to stay. We may be looking to book it again for next year."

"We stayed here in April for a large family reunion with a group ranging in age from 1 to 91, and it worked really well for us. There were 18 of us mainly adults (plus a baby), and the space was comfortable and well set up for a group that size. The kitchen was probably the best-equipped we’ve ever had in a holiday rental – all kinds of coffee makers and plenty of large pans, which made cooking for everyone much easier.There was a great selection of games, and the play area and toys for the baby...

"Overall property was a nice place to stay, in the country but not to far from restaurants and shops ,but a car is essential it’s not in walking distance to anything. Our only complaint would be the constant barking of dogs , sometimes all night. Such a shame"

"Had a lovely 5 days away at Barry’s beautiful villa.Barry went above and beyond from communication to a lovely welcome pack.He arranged for his friend Peter to collect and take us back to the airport for a reasonable charge.Peter was lovely.Candy also helped us while we were away with taxis as it is a bit remote as in the mountains and we didn’t rent a car.And was happy to call around to find us a taxi and book activities if we wanted.Overall a wonderful holiday.Thankyou to you all.John and Sue"

"This place is absolutely disgusting and nowhere near like what it looks in the photos, we had 3 power cuts and potentially life threatening to one of the children we had with us as he needs power to take his medication. 14 hours without power we were locked in the villa as couldn’t get out the electric gates with very little water left and phone batteries on their last legs. I relayed all this information to the host who proceeded to completely ignore us. Completely filthy and nowhere near worth...
