"The property fell short of its 4 star rating and our expectations. The lighting in the kitchen/main room did not work. The hot water in the shower was exhausted rather quickly. "The description wasn’t accurate - the apartment was in need of decoration and wasn’t well equipped - not even any soap! The owner demanded an extra €60 for ‘linens’ - ie towels & sheets a day before we arrived. We were not informed before this so had to agree - they were really poor quality. There was no lockbox as advertised and we had to make a diversion to collect the keys from the owner’s father’s house!?! (He was very nice though). "Simply not a place you wanted to stay. It felt unloved and uncared for. The property information claims it was completely refurbished-heaven knows when that took place. It was dirty, damp ( three of us returned with chest infections - hardly surprising when the beds felt damp when you went to bed) and the furniture not fit for a holiday rental. "If you arrive by car in the dark then its not easy to see the driveway to the Reception nor where you can actually park. You have to go in and ask! Very friendly and informative staff so first class in that respect. Room was fine and good enough but noisy smoking neighbours in next room on the adjoining balcony. Restaurant staff great. Usual disappointing menu but typical french fayre and they still dont know what a well done steak is! "
