We would absolutely recommend this cabin!
If you are looking for a quiet, slow weekend with the most beautiful scenery, this is it! I actually ended up getting engaged during the time we were up and it was the perfect place to celebrate! 4 of us were able to stay in the home comfortably, cook breakfast every morning, grill dinner every night, and enjoy our days by the lake. It is a quiet neighborhood on a scenic lake and we could not have enjoyed it more! There were guests as the other house in the property, though it still felt incredibly private and we were able to share the outdoor accommodations with no problem at all. I can also imagine that this would be the perfect property for a larger group utilizing both homes. The proximity to town was perfect, as we were able to relax and slow down at the cabin while also taking advantage of all of the fun activities in the Minocqua area. Tom Walters was incredibly responsive and truly helped us make the most of our experience from check-in to check-out. I would highly recommend this stay!

Very nice cabins and lake. We enjoyed our stay very much. The only issue was the hill down to the lake was steep for my wife to get down. I could not tell that from the pictures.

Family Annual Fishing Getaway
Cabin and area surrounding was as described. We enjoyed fishing off the dock as well as the pontoon. There is an area for a campfire and a nice grill and picnic table. Tom was great to work with us and make our stay enjoyable. We liked it so much we booked his bigger cabin for next year! Looking forward to catching more nice fish and creating priceless memories with the grandkids and our daughter and son-in-law. Thank you, Tom! Tim and Catherine

Quaint, cozy, charming, and comfortable.
About 20 minutes west of Minocqua, this smaller of two cabins on the property comfortably accommodated 7 of us and a pup. The wood burning fireplace added nice warmth and ambiance to our New Year's Eve. Having a dishwasher and laundry was an added bonus (a dryer for wet gloves and snowpants was clutch). We had a few glitches with many of the electronics (both TVs required some troubleshooting) but we were able to get decent internet speeds - sufficient to stream shows - and had better cell service in the cabin than we did in town. The lake access is right there (though in winter, we weren't able to fully appreciate it) and everything worked as we had expected. The heat was great (though it was chilly when we checked in) and the place is stocked with an abundance of extra blankets, kitchen tools, and even a high chair if you need it. The beds were on the firm side but comfortable and the furniture was in good condition. A nice northwoods escape.

Nice place, great communication
Thomas the property manager is on top of any issues that came up during our stay. We lost power and I e-mailed Thomas. He gave me an update within 10 minutes that the power company was aware and working on it. The property itself is nice. The hill is steeper than it looks in the pictures and there are two cabins on the property that are pretty close together. Two virtually new charcoal grills was nice as we had a party of 8 to grill for one night. Internet was speedy enough to stream and also surf at the same time with some hiccups from time to time but hey, you're not there to watch TV, so go enjoy the lake! The beds were more comfortable than our beds at home and the rooms were quiet. The included plates/cups/utensils were nice and the dishwasher was quiet. The water quality was good and did not have any hint of iron or other tastes you sometimes get in a Northwoods cabin. Speaking of water....the lake is large. We did not rent the boat while staying though it looked very nice and pretty new. The water is a little murky (more so when the lake is busy with boats) but still very swimmable. The kids had a blast swimming in the little bay the cabin is situated in. There were ducks, loons, and bald eagles all right in the bay. Overall a very nice Northwoods experience.

Snowmobiling Trip
Nice cabin right on a lake with 2 bars with food close by for our snowmobiling weekend but a few glitches. The heat was not turned up before our arrival and after we returned that evening from a ride it was right back down to the coolest setting. Weird lock on kitchen door, but all questions were answered and rectified by owner immediately. Overall, neither would affect a nice weekend stay!

Northwoods Tranquility
The owner, Tom was very responsive. We stayed in the smaller of the two properties, but the property still comfortably slept 6 adults. We enjoyed evenings by the lake at the firepit or board games inside and days on the lake in the owners rented pontoon. We enjoyed a stop for appetizers at the Moose Jaw and a game of volleyball! Lovely chain of lakes! Great trip!

Cabin Up North
My family had a great time at Tom's cabin. Loved that we had enough space for our family of 5--plus a washer and dryer! We rented Tom's pontoon and fished the entire time we were there. Lots of panfish in Pike Lake although we had no luck catching walleye and bass. We had shared amenities with the other cabin next to us that Tom owns but each group was respectful of each other and we each had an opportunity to use the fire pit. Had some questions for Tom and he always responded in the appropriate length of time.

Nice stay, but SO many mosquitos!
The cabin was nice, has the basic essentials. The lake is beautiful! But holy cow, the mosquitos! I get them being bad outside, this is northern Wisconsin. But there were TONS of them inside the cabin also. Also, if you like a cozy blanket or a corkscrew, I'd recommend bringing your own. Distance to Minocqua wasn't too bad, very little options to buy firewood near the cabin though, I'd also recommend grabbing some in Park Falls or Minocqua before you get out to the cabin.

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was well maintained and was exactly what we were looking for. Tom was quick to reply when I had questions. It's location made it easy to get on the snow mobile trails and head out on the lake to fish. My kids were asking to come back as soon as we left.

Beautiful and Excellent Location.
We had a wonderful 3 days of amazing snowmobiling with this place as our headquarters. Great access to the trails. Beautiful view of the lake. Wonderful hot shower after your ride in below zero weather. Functional cute kitchen. Lots of room for your gear and lounging around. Bring slippers as the floor gets chilly.

Wonderful Winter Getaway!
Loved our getaway after the busy holiday season. The beautiful wood-burning fireplace was our favorite part of the cabin, although we enjoyed the large open space of the whole house. It was so nice to have that extra table; just the right size for the eternal jigsaw puzzle that covered it. Plenty of room in the kitchen for many hands to make meals, and plenty of utensils & cookware to do it. View from the house of the lake was exceptional, and all the snow in the area provided lots of trails for snowshoeing the winter woods. A very quiet and peaceful place. We plan to return.

NORTHWOODS CABIN's
True Northwoods cabins, Kept up as mother nature and guest dish out, especially this late in season (8/23-9/3). We were pleased with the kitchen/outgrill set-up, Wonderful frontroom with SUNRISE in the mornings and COZY fireplace at night, and EAGLE's in the pre-dusk flying/hunting the COVE! Outside firepit, and deck were PERFECT DID NOT USE THE PATOON BUT IT LOOKED GREAT!!! guessed wrong, with the weather so we did, BIKING instead...(middle of a national forest) every kind of kritter, including a BEAR!!! Fall must be GREAT there with the COLORS around the LAKE! Fishing must be great year-round, definately coming back. GREAT SPOT...

Accommodations Good/Fishing, not so much
We appreciated all of the room in the cabin. The small beds were small but manageable. Parking would definitely be an issue if both houses are rented at the same time. We, alone had 2 trucks and boat trailers and had to move things around a few time. I could not imagine how it would work if both renters had multiple boats and trucks. Parking could definitely be improved. Fishing, that’s definitely not on the owner. It was our first trip to WI, and the lakes are very different than what we have fished in the past. Overall, we had a great time. I recommend this facility to anyone needing a place to stay on the Pike Round Chain.

Great property
There’s two cabins on the property, but the patios don’t face each other, so they are somewhat privatized from each other. They share a fire pit, driveway & pier. The cabin is larger than expected. The kitchen is plenty large enough to cook for a full cabin worth of guests. Separate dining room, plus a tea table in the spacious living room. Bedrooms are modestly sized but not too cramped. Property & cabin are nicely maintained. The owner was very friendly & helpful. The property location is on a nice lake, with a secluded feel (neighbors aren’t too close & property is wooded). It’s about a half hour drive to Minocqua with lots of things to do there. Overall I would recommend this property.

We needed both cabins due to having 10 people and 5 boats to fish for the week. Both cabins were clean and very comfortable. There was enough room on the pier to dock all the boats. We will definitely stay again.

Nice but had cleaning problems
I guess the biggest disappointment is paying all these cleaning fees, and when you get there it’s not clean. 1. Socks, toys, empty chip bags under the beds. 2. Spider webs around the whole perimeter of the ceiling. 3. One mouse in the middle of the night, they did have empty Decon containers in the cabin. 4. Soap bottles were watered down to apparently make them last longer. In the Covid era kinda important to have the real stuff. Otherwise it was great. Just as described would come back.

Very nice property, clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.
We took our four kids on vacation to this cabin and had an excellent stay. Very clean, beds were comfortable, right on the water with well maintained property. The bar/restaurants near by worth visiting are Muskey Jacks and Moose Jaw, both served good food. Be advised there’s not much else’s around, closest gas station is 30 min drive, so be prepared for that and you’ll b fine. Highly recommend this cabin.
