"We were in town for our son’s wedding. The property was in close proximity to the wedding venue, and on the hottest weekend of the summer so far, was nicely air conditioned, clean and comfortable. The property has a nice outdoor area where we hung out and played yard games. Traffic on highway 99 can be a bit loud, but we weren’t too bothered by it."

"We loved our stay. I’ve been in a ton of short term rentals and this was the best stocked one ever! Anything you can think of, they had. It was very clean and cozy, the grounds and views were stunning. Just a little caution if you are sensitive to noises while sleeping, the heaters click all night long. "The property is nicely appointed with everything needed for our stay. Having a separate bedroom was huge as I am an early riser and my husband is not. Great washer/dryer setup -very handy. Host was attentive, responded quickly to questions, and let us know when there might be some extra noise. Neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. "This hotel used to be a dive but they have remodled the rooms and cleaned up the property. King siize bed, TV, Fridge, Coffee maker and microwave. I paid less than $50 a night which was a steal so i can't complain about no shampoo or breakfast offered. 5 star due to the new rooms and the cost. "

Great Little Place

"We were in town for a cross country meet and wanted to stay near by the night before. The Independent is a fun, boutique style hotel in a quaint little town that we could walk to most things for dinner, dessert and a nightcap. I would stay again if I am in need of a place to stay in the area. "
