"We had an absolutely amazing time celebrating my birthday here. The property was clean and inviting. The view was amazing! The property manager, Piet, was courteous and informative! We went during the rainy season, but still had a great time. Daytime was warm & we enjoyed the pool and again, the VIEW! Would definitely recommend! "

"Property is as described. It's dated but well cared for. The caretaker is great. PLEASE note. Last few kilometers of road are not paved...we had 4x4's was fine. Closest supermarket is a 40 minute - hour drive. Beach isn't the best for swimming but totally remote and private. We loved this place. "

"This was way better than we expected. The pictures barely do the propert justice. Super great house with immaculate yard and pool, extra seating outside and outdoor kitchen facility. Only with I could have stayed longer! The owner was very helpful and responsive. Highest recommendation from myself and my friends who came with ne. "

"This was a big house with more than enough space for the six adults in our group. We especially loved the pool and hot tub, and we could see hummingbirds from the back porch in the morning. Table tennis was a hit with some people in our group as well, and the food at the restaurant on the property was good. The listing description is generally accurate, and we'd happily stay here again. But the house could use a little TLC (minor repairs) in places, and some brighter lighting, and the kitchen...

"This was such a great property. VERY clean and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped. Great communication with the host. The driveway to the house is a little rough so I would recommend an SUV. An SUV is recommended for driving all around the area anyway. House was in a great location too. I would stay there again for sure? Highly recommend!"

"We stayed in June for 4 nights, it was a large family gathering. The house and garden are a conglomerate of multiple rooms on the side of a hill that are not connected to each other but you can access from outside. Each room has its own balcony view and charm. The garden had lots of flora and intricate pathways, zig zagging to the rooms. When it rains it can be wet and slippery; it was the rainy season. The main living room and kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans, kettle, coffee maker,...

"We loved this house! It was so beautiful with all the unique wood accents, had space for our kids to play, was very clean, and felt like we were nestled right in the middle of the jungle. Though it was only a 5 min drive to get to town and the main restaurants. We wished we'd stayed here longer. Daniela was very helpful with tour information and easy to communicate with. The kitchen was very qell eqipped, as were the bathroom supplies. Thanks for a great stay!"

"Never again. We had to leave 2 days early and try to find another place on high season for my party of 8 because of over booking. The service was just terrible. To bad, because the area was great. Dont rent from this place."

"We loved the property, it was beautiful and spacious. The WiFi was a little touch and go and it was at least 20 minutes to get into la Fortuna. We would definitely recommend, but just be aware you will be doing a lot of back and forth driving to get into town and the nearby activities."

"My family stayed at the property and had a wonderful time. Arturo and Maribel are the caretakers and are some of the nicest people you could ever meet. They keep the property in fantastic shape and are extremely helpful. I highly recommend hiring Maribel to do the cooking, as she is amazing!! The pool is great, the beach was just fine for swimming. Make sure to visit the "Monkey House" (casa de los monos) nearby, as that was my families favorite excursion. Again, I cannot stress enough how...

Nice for a quick stay

"Great place. We stayed for 1 night, quiet and clean. Breakfast is traditional eggs rice/beans and fruit. Great fir a quick snack. The water in the shower varies between hit and cold but you need to either take it early in morning or later at night . We did have ants appear but we took care of it. All and all nice cozy place for a family of 5. "

"We had a lovely stay. Very helpful staff. The reception team helped book a last minute guided walk in Monteverder NP. Bar staff were very friendly, even gave us some traditional Costa Rican cooking tips! Big room with a lovely view, when the weather allowed. Breakfast is definitely skewed in favour of those who like eggs! But very nice with fresh fruit and tea/coffee/juice."
