Swim in the placid water of the ocean to cool down after sunbathing under the hot sun. Rent a deck chair and purchase snacks and refreshments from one of the huts. Walk along the wooden planks of the pier that extends over the water on the northern beach. The back of the bay is flanked by swaying palm trees, intriguing rock formations and apartments with panoramic views of the ocean.

Practice surfing with friends, watch kite surfers and try other watersports. Diving and snorkeling are popular in the aquatic region, which is dense with colorful fish. Go on a speed boat ride with a tour operator to find the best snorkeling spots.

Visit the Pirangi Cashew Tree next to the Pirangi do Norte part of the beach. It is the largest of its kind in the world and entered the Guinness Book of Records in 1994.
