"We loved our stay!! The location was perfect, we didn’t want to be right in the hustle and bustle but wanted to be driving distance. The beaches were so great, the tide pools amazing, pool was perfect and we sat on the veranda facing the ocean every morning and every evening. The security guards were so smiley and nice!! "What an experience! If you are looking for a change from busy all inclusive resorts this is a great option. The unit is gorgeous. Spacious with a back yard with a pool overlooking the ocean. It is in a gated community which adds to the exclusiveness of the experience. The beach which is in walking distance is gorgeous with warm water and good size waves. The property management led by Meaghan took care of all of our request. All around great experience for us. Pura Lavida!"

"Gabriela the owner was ever so cordial. We arrived after 20 hours of airline problems. Also a great deal of rain plus the shuttle from airport to the hotel did not show. We were exhausted. Our room was clean not over decorated but comfy. We slept well woke to more rain but Gabriella helped us detour the roadside runoff so could have a nice breakfast. Hard to judge property when it has been raining cats and dogs but we were welre welcomed with a smile and felt safe"

"Hard to believe, but the actual villa exceeds the description and photos online. Spacious, beautiful and an absolutely incredible view. Great housekeeping service and very attentive and responsive management. We will 100% be back!"

"The Host Ben is very responsive and kind. I wanted to experience living among the Ticos and we loved it. This place is unique and cozy for the 4 of us girls. There are some minor upgrades needed but we are so easygoing that it was not a bother. We survived a huge thunderstorm and no power for just a couple hours. The property has 2 cats. Also each bedroom has air conditioning and we enjoyed Netflix in the evening. This area is definitely a surf town and several restaurants walking distance....

"This place was great. Though Avellanas Beach was a short walk from the property, it felt secluded and remote. I could hear howler monkeys in the trees, which was cool. The house was gated and felt safe and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. I would gladly visit again."

"10 of us stayed at this beautiful property for a 40th birthday celebration, it was perfect! The house and view are even more gorgeous in person, it's called Sunset Villa for a reason!!! Checking in was a breeze, Yesenia was fabulous and we had no trouble communicating via Google Translate. Highly recommend renting a golf cart for convenient travel to the beach and around Playa Flamingo, although the stairs provided a great little work out! We rented vehicles as well so day tripping to Tamarindo...

"Solo female traveller review. Everything was wonderful. The staff is awesome and took care of everything I needed. Juan Carlo and Steve always went above and beyond. Great little cabannas with comfy bed and pillows, great air con and a nice large shower. Lovely grounds and a nice pool with plenty of places to lounge and relax. Proximity to shops, restaurants and the beach was great!! I really enjoyed the rest and relaxation I came for and will definitely stay here again!!!"

"The property was nicely settled into a jungle like area. Lots of trees and plants. They have a very nice salt water pool that they keep clean neat. The owner operator is always on site ensuring your needs are met. Our room was simple and basic but had everything we needed and everything worked. Location was great, right in the middle of everything and all walkable. The one thing to be aware of is since it is close to everything, its also close to bars/clubs. Close enough that you will hear the boom boom bass from the music. It's not terrible, the ac and fan kind of drownd it out. But something to be aware of if you're noise sensitive. It was over by 2 am or so. All in all a great place to stay and would recommend highly. "
