Cold pool
The house inside is nice and spacious, the rooms are a good size and it is reasonably kitted out, but it does requires some repairs. ie plug sockets which are not fixed into the wall, the shower door on the downstairs shower has been removed and not replaced so when you have a shower the bathroom floor gets soaked, there is wall paper coming off the walls, the upstairs toilet is not fixed to the wall and the pool umbrella was broken.
But the main disappointment of the house is that the description of the pool is not accurate, the listing clearly states the pool as heated. The pool is not heated, it varied between 68-72 degrees Fahrenheit, ie barely warmer than the sea, and unless it was a really hot day you had to wear a wet suit to go in and even then the temperature took your breath away. A heated pool should be at least 80 degrees Fahrenheit. This may not sound much but it is the difference between enjoying swimming in the pool and it being unpleasant. This significantly detracted from the holiday, had we known the pool would not be heated we would not have booked the house, it is a gross misrepresentation. The most disappointing thing is that the pool does have a heating, and reviews in the years before state the pool was heated but the owners now appear to have decided not to heat it properly. The filter was only put on for a few hours in the day and there is no cover so it quickly became dirty and full of bits at the bottom.
The local area is lovely, great beaches etc
