"We had a 4 night stay. We regularly use Hunters Lodge as our runaway from home. Excent value. Home made food and puddings. Outstanding breakfast. Its clean and quite. Delightful staff. Its why we do back again and again. "

"It was very good value for money, bed was very comfortable, room very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. It does need a little TLC in places but it’s a character property and the maintenance is probably endless. Breakfast was good. Location is brilliant, in the centre of Wimborne. And there was parking! "This is a family run hotel in a Victorian building. Our room was really large with a high ceiling with a sea view on the ground floor. Staff were very helpful and bent over backwards to resolve a couple of small issues with the room. The hotel has a spa and also provides evening entertainment even in low season when we visited. We had a really nice stay and the room was good value. Breakfast was also very nice The location is excellent. If you want four five star then this may not meet your expectations, but if you want, clean comfortable, well located and friendly then it gets our vote."

"The room, large and clean with comfortable bed, nice clean bathroom. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was good, breakfast cooked to order and lots of choice. The location of the Hotel is great for Shaftesbury town, a 12 minute walk takes you to the centre. We really liked it. We didn’t use the pool but it looks nice, although it seemed to be constantly used by locals mainly. Overall very happy "
