Very friendly people. They know how to welcome their customers. Very quiet room which was perfect for me. Amazing and "rich" choice of breakfast. My only issue was that there was no heating at all and room was a bit chilly. Other than that everything was great. Definitely will stay again in the future.

All the staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Our room had plenty of room for my mobility scooter, without it impeding me moving around. The staff in the breakfast area were very helpful. The central location of the hotel was excellent, especially as I was meeting up with my sister every day.

Ideally placed being in the centre of the city. Not too far to walk to the Barbican, the Hoe or Drakes Circus where the better shops are. We found a good range of eateries. The hotel itself was very friendly and staff were most helpful.

Very convenient for shopping, room ok, bit dusty in places, but comfortable bed. Finding the car park was a nightmare, but once parked, it was comforting knowing the car was secure, and , for Plymouth reasonable fee. There were a lot of stairs to get from car park and in and out of entrances, my friend is not very mobile, found it a bit of a challenge. There are a lot of building works going on round the hotel, so at present surroundings aren't wonderful. Breakfast was good.

Information regarding the parking was very confusing. It was understood that there was limited parking on a first come first served basis. So when we arrived in the dark after a long ferry crossing, we didn’t then expect to be redirected all the around the town to get to an underground car park. Which was adequate but the whole experience was very confusing.

The Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. THe rooms are being refurbished, although we asked to see a refurbished one and could not see any real difference. Our room did not have electrical sockets near the bed to charge phones and only one USB port for charging. The room is showing it's age. We found it quite dusty and my wife's allergies flared up as a result. For us it was well located but we will not use it again due to the dust and allergy issue.

Kind maid ( Agnes) kind staff. Nice hotel. I had a mini fridge and kettle for tea coffee which was a bonus. Only furniture need to be replaced. I only stayed there to be near the university for my kid. I will stay again. Parking was a little challenging to find. Safe nice car park space. Thank you.

Steven

I have stayed at this hotel on two other occasions and always liked its central location. Never had any reason for complaint in the past. However on this occasion I have to say, I feel robbed in that I paid for breakfast in advance for the 3 night stay, and it’s poor. On the first morning I arrived for breakfast very late (not helped by the 12 hour hour journey I had the previous evening) and having gone for the Full English, I was disappointed by the fact it was all cold and either overdone or dried out, but I put it down to my late arrival. On the second morning, I had a bowl (very small) of Corn Flakes, a Banana, a Pain au Raisin pastry and a cup of tea - definitely not worth the price charged. This morning (my last breakfast) I wanted to try the Full English again and made sure I got there with over an hour left, however it all looked the same to me. The Hash Browns were very overdone and dried out, the bacon and sausages sit in the same hot tray swimming in about an inch of hot water, the fried egg looks plastic, the scrambled egg looked? - so by now I decided to pass and just have the same continental breakfast I had on the second morning. I made my feelings known to a chap who was heading up the guests in and out of the area and he said he would pass on my remarks to the chef. Later, I informed the reception girl at checkout that I was unhappy about the change in the quality of breakfast since my previous stays, and that I’ll stay again but not have breakfast.

This was a wonderful stay, thank you. The staff were helpful and friendly and the location was perfect: easy walking from the rail station and easy walking to sites and restaurants. Our room was clean and neat. The only suggestion I have is that there is no air conditioning and the windows don’t open more than about 4 inches. The room was on the south (sunny) side of the building and it was so hot and stuffy even with a ceiling fan and a small room fan.

The room certainly was not worth the cost. The furniture in the room was dirty, damaged and broken. On going into the bathroom there was 'stuff' still sat in the toilet bowl. I had no chair by the desk and the room certainly was not worth the £200 plus I had to pay for 2 nights. I disputed this cost given I booked it in August and was convinced the Expedia cost was half (trying to contact Expedia is another issue). How can a Hotel charge guests £9 per day for parking but only £5 per day to non-residents. When I asked this question, Staff seemed oblivious/didnt care/amused to the obvious issues. Overall the staff are nice people, but simply have no answers and don't seem to care about the parking cost issue. Madness.
