On the other hand, you have the Church Clock that bangs every hour 24/7 so you can hear in the night as well. I think the owner of the hotel should talk with the Church to avoid the sounds at least at night. Normal price for what you get."

"L'apartament és correcte, amb un pati molt agradable. Els anfitrions molt amables, de tracte molt familiar i proper, cap problema tant a l'hora d'entrar com de sortir. Barruera, com altres pobles del voltant, és molt bonic amb el seu riu i la verdor de les muntanyes. Desde la casa pots fer diferents rutes de senderisme, passejades, bici, etc. També i molt interessant és fer la ruta del romànic. "

Great stay

"Cannot imagine there is a better option in Espot. The room was nothing fancy, perfect for us to return to after two days of hiking in the National Park. Comfortable beds, clean and a great continental breakfast each morning along with friendly and helpful staff is exactly what we needed and received. The recommendations for dinners in town was also helpful and did not disappoint. "

"Jose, the owner, was very friendly, helpful, and caring. He, without being asked, offered to make phone calls to reserve a rafting trip and a busy restaurant for lunch. He then followed up on these phone calls. He also provided "tips" (his term) for hiking and local traditional cuisine. One can tell that he cares for his customers and wants them to have a wonderful experience. 5 Stars!!"

Hard to imagine much worse

"Impressively poor in so many ways. We only took it as a last resort, and you should have the same approach. Room door almost impossible to open because rubbed on floor - and that was AFTER they sent us to the wrong floor to find the room. No internet because "it's too weak to work there". Dangerously broken steps to rear balcony/patio, which was too overgrown to use anyway. See photo. Basically this is a dormitory-style place for young foolish skiiers and not much else."

"We booked this hotel online because of its location to the national park, and because it got such good reviews. We were shocked when we arrived and saw the condition of the rooms! Positives: *very nice staff *excellent coffee bar *good breakfast Negatives *This place is tired! It needs a major renovation. They've clearly put more effort into maintaining the outside than the inside *Our room was not very clean. There was debris on the floor and dust on the furniture. *The shower leaked so much that there was a huge puddle on the floor after every shower and we had to use our ration of towel to mop it up. *The room decor was hokey with fake rock wallpaper and some weird paper on the wall above the bed meant to evoke... not sure what. We were happy to check out - although we did greatly enjoy our time in the national park and some nice dinners at other restaurants."
